This is my second one that does not heat up up or seal. new batteries put in correctly. extremely frustrated. cannot reach company. help?

Answer: I found it hard to figure out how to install the batteries, then I figured it out. Honestly its a piece of trash, if you can return for a refund do it. I will return for a refund.

Once you get the hang of it, it works. Creates a very thin heat sealed seam even on metallic plastic chip bags.

A nice little product. It does the trick, and has great value for the money. I don’t know what thickness means in this case, so I did not rate it on thickness.

Had to apply four or five times to seal the bag. And it does not work on thick bags but only very thin plastic bags. Needed to buy batteries for it to work. And it did not work well.

This mini bag sealer works effectively. I really like how small and compact it is. It is very portable and easy to carry with me anywhere. This works well with many types of plastic bags that I have. The seal is tight enough that no bugs could get through. This is a great product overall.

This little bag sealer was hard to get to work at first because apparently it doesn't like AA rechargeable batteries that are only at 1.2 volts, (even Duracell ones) so I put in a set of 1.5 Volt Alkaline batteries and it works great.
One thing I will say move the sealer fast when sealing something or it will melt right thru and literally cut the bag while it seals it shut. But it only took me a couple of times to get it right.
This is so much better than putting a "Chip Bag Clip" on stuff after you open it, because those things don't really seal the bag up very well...this mini sealer makes them air tight.
I even tested a bag of Fruity Gummies under water and they were still dry.
And it's portable so you can take it with you to work or camping...I definitively recommend this product.

This for me was hard to figure out. It took me awhile to be able to slide the part back to both operate it and put the batteries in it. The instructions are very small. This was the hardest part of it. Now that I know how to do that, it was easy to operate. I tried it on a bagged salad mix and it actually worked! I did it a couple of times to make sure it was sealed good. I let it sit for a few seconds before continuing to slide it to across. For me, it does attach to the fridge (I have an older model fridge). I will see how long the salad mix stays fresh.
Not sure how long it will last and I will update if needed.

It takes a lot to seal a plastic bag--- you have to push down pretty hard and pull. I bought it to seal small plastic pouches but I can't seal them continuously across- I have to do it twice. Probaby my issue for what I'm sealing. Not sure how it works sealing everything else.

Instructions are in a diff language so don’t bother. Just figure it out on your own but mine didn’t even heat up enough to work! Damn, not worth purchasing at all. I would choose another brand and maybe that’ll work as advertised.

I find that this works better on small bags where there's less stress on having it unseal.
That said, it's one of those things that you imagine using, but then don't bother with ...
at least for me.
I mostly stick with the clips.

This takes a little bit of a learning curve but once you get it its such a cool little gadget. We use it to reseal bags of chips and although the seal is not perfect factory made it does the job. The tiffany blue color is so cute and the little hanging loop is tue perfect way to keep it hung in your pantry.

This item is not a good one to buy. It just arrived today and I slightly damaged it trying to open it up to install batteries. It's a piece of crap.

This little gizmo really works! I thought plastic bag sealers had to be really big (like a food saver size machine) but this proved me wrong.

I live on a boat so humidity is about a thousand percent every day. Given time even papers and books are affected by it too, but crispy food like cookies, crackers, and chips won’t last 12 hours in an unsealed container, and zip lock bags alone are minimally helpful.

I took away one star because it was frustratingly difficult to figure out how to put batteries in and also how to activate the sealing action. A video from the manufacturer would have gone a LONG way!

I don’t expect this to last for years of used on a regular basis, but I foresee it saving me more than the cost of the unit in terms of food that I would otherwise throw away or feed to the fishies because it went stale. Plus it’s fun to use!

I was excited to get this sealer. I can't use my food saver to close bags like chips and frozen veggies. I have used this sealer on both types of bags. Mini might not describe the size of this sealer. It's tiny. I found it hard to use due to how small it was. I had to go over the same spot multiple times before the bag was completely sealed. To make matters worse, this tiny item has gone missing. I can not find it. You would think that the blue color would help it stand out but it doesn't. I am not happy with this product. (the sealer being misplaced has no bearing on my review, just wanted to mention it.)

I have tried following the instructions and using this item as directed, but it barely gets warm and when I try to seal a bag it is difficult to slide across and does not seal it. I have also tried holding it down for 3 seconds before starting to move across the bag and it doesn't seem to help. The battery compartment was also very difficult to figure out and get into. As far as I'm concerned this is junk, will not be useful for me and I wouldn't advise anyone else spend their money and time on this product.
