This is my second one that does not heat up up or seal. new batteries put in correctly. extremely frustrated. cannot reach company. help?

Answer: I found it hard to figure out how to install the batteries, then I figured it out. Honestly its a piece of trash, if you can return for a refund do it. I will return for a refund.

pdogmum : It Worked!

This for me was hard to figure out. It took me awhile to be able to slide the part back to both operate it and put the batteries in it. The instructions are very small. This was the hardest part of it. Now that I know how to do that, it was easy to operate. I tried it on a bagged salad mix and it actually worked! I did it a couple of times to make sure it was sealed good. I let it sit for a few seconds before continuing to slide it to across. For me, it does attach to the fridge (I have an older model fridge). I will see how long the salad mix stays fresh.
Not sure how long it will last and I will update if needed.

I didn’t expect too much with the price point but I’m actually surprised. It works well and seals bags. I wish it didn’t cut at the melting point and just made a wider closure as it’s a very thin line of where it melts the bag together. If you go over it again to try to make the new closure seam wider it will just cut the bag in the new area.

It does feel pretty cheap and flimsy but what can you expect with this price? Overal it does it’s job and the magnetic back is a great addition for sitting it to the fridge instead of getting buried in a utensil drawer or on a shelf.

Whidbey Mary : Handy for Reliably Sealing a Bag of Chips, Crackers, etc.

I got this to seal leftover chip, cracker, and cookie bags. It requires two AA batteries and a couple of seconds to warm up. It isn't going to take the place of the seal you get on a vacuum sealer, but it works very well for items that you want to keep from spilling and will be eaten relatively soon. Can't finish that bag of chips? Don't put a clip on it, use this little gadget to get a more reliable seal. There is a knife for cutting open bags - I am not fond of.
I prefer to use a plain old pair of scissors. The blade could be harmful to younger kids or people without complete hand control, e.g., arthriitis.

This actually works pretty darn well. I was surprised to be honest. I tried it on ziplock bag type texture and lays chips texture and it worked for both. Though it does do what it should it is obviously a cheaply made Chinese gadget and for the price that’s what I was expecting and that’s what I got. I don’t see this holding up super well or anything like that. It does have a magnet on it to presumably put it on your fridge or something but the magnet is so weak that it doesn’t actually work enough to hold it up and in place. It just slides down the fridge... but I’m mostly happy with it!

I have tried following the instructions and using this item as directed, but it barely gets warm and when I try to seal a bag it is difficult to slide across and does not seal it. I have also tried holding it down for 3 seconds before starting to move across the bag and it doesn't seem to help. The battery compartment was also very difficult to figure out and get into. As far as I'm concerned this is junk, will not be useful for me and I wouldn't advise anyone else spend their money and time on this product.

This little gizmo really works! I thought plastic bag sealers had to be really big (like a food saver size machine) but this proved me wrong.

I live on a boat so humidity is about a thousand percent every day. Given time even papers and books are affected by it too, but crispy food like cookies, crackers, and chips won’t last 12 hours in an unsealed container, and zip lock bags alone are minimally helpful.

I took away one star because it was frustratingly difficult to figure out how to put batteries in and also how to activate the sealing action. A video from the manufacturer would have gone a LONG way!

I don’t expect this to last for years of used on a regular basis, but I foresee it saving me more than the cost of the unit in terms of food that I would otherwise throw away or feed to the fishies because it went stale. Plus it’s fun to use!

This is a great size bag sealer. It takes 2 AA batteries and heats up fast. The instructions are not the best but once you slide the cover to put in the batteries, it is pretty easy to use. It seals fast and tight.

I was a little hesitant getting one of these because I didn’t think it would work but to my surprise these work great. I’ve used two different types of plastic bags and the bag sealer was able to make an airtight seal on them. The only thing is it can be a little difficult doing it with one hand. I have a hard time getting a straight line doing it myself. If someone can hold on to the other side of the opening then it should be considerably more easy and make a cleaner seal. I noticed the thinner the plastic the more likely it will burn the ends off (still sealing it). Overall, it works as it should and I will continue using it. Now I can put my bag clips in storage.

This is one of those cool gadgets that you don’t know you need so bad until you try it out! So convenient and handy to have and finally got rid of all those ugly bag clips that always seem to break when you need it most. This is super small and has a magnetic back to stick it right on fridge. Quick and easy to use all you do is run it across the bag top and it seals it shut. It took me a couple times to get the technique down...you want to be sure you run it across the bag kind of slow so you seal the whole thing. Also, you don’t want to squeeze too tight or you will tear the bag instead of seal it. Once you get the technique down this gadget is amazing and is going to get a ton of use.

My only complaint is that this does NOT come with batteries so be sure to have a set of AA batteries on hand when it arrives. Other than that, great product that lives up to its promise.

I ordered this as a backup to the main one I use, and I am glad that I did! As the school PTA lady for our school, this allows us to send in treats and goodies for our VERY hard working teachers. This heats up quickly, works perfectly, and does whats its intended to do the first time everytime. Thank you so very much!

I was excited to get this sealer. I can't use my food saver to close bags like chips and frozen veggies. I have used this sealer on both types of bags. Mini might not describe the size of this sealer. It's tiny. I found it hard to use due to how small it was. I had to go over the same spot multiple times before the bag was completely sealed. To make matters worse, this tiny item has gone missing. I can not find it. You would think that the blue color would help it stand out but it doesn't. I am not happy with this product. (the sealer being misplaced has no bearing on my review, just wanted to mention it.)
