We (Monika & Bernard Schnacke) founded Frieling in 1988, the same year we married. At the time we both held corporate jobs in NYC and just wanted to spend more time together! Are the bags BPA free?
Answer: Thank you. Yes they are.

Does this have a cutter and will it do mylar bags?
Answer: The Frieling vacuum machine does not have a cutter and I’m not familiar with the Mylar bags. I purchased the Frieling bags and it works perfect. I have gone through two rolls already and have had no issues.

Nelson Red : Piece of CRAP!
This is a HUGE piece of CRAP! Most of the time it will not vacuum seal. Will just seal. Thus, defeating the purpose.
I try vacuum sealing it again and it does the same! Huge waste of bags trying to get it to work and they are very, very expensive.
I bought this during covid-19 to vacuum seal meat so it would not freezer burn. IT DOES NOT WORK!
Do yourself a favor - buy something else!!!!
