Answer: They are not a good product. I believe the battery operated ones are less effective. I threw mine away. I suggest you return yours for money back. Its not you its a bad product.

Want the electric power adapter cord for the Seal N Fresh Vacuum Sealer. Where can I get one?

Answer: I got mine at Walmart in the electronics department, asked an employee and he took me right to them. Some have variable output power and several different sized plugs that fit into bottom of sealer. Can be used for many things like music players cameras and such.

Answer: Check fry's - I had to trim the rubber a bit so it would go down far enough but works great!

I followed the instructions to remove the filter cover and I can't remove the cover to clean it . Does anybody have any suggestions on how to remove ?

Can this be used with the jar adapter to seal mason jars?

Answer: I was completely not satisfied with it or even the bags and bought a Foodsaver that does seal mason jars. I had two of the handheld units, 1-no suction...the other would stay on until I removed the batteries.

Answer: Yes, if you're able to find a jar adapter that fits then it should work.

Has anyone tried this with the FoodSaver Mason jar sealer or wine bottle stopper?

Answer: yes I have , I use it to vacuum seal both reg and wide mouth mason jars all the time. works great. would and have recommended to several people.

Gionni C. : Garbage. . Poorly executed copy of the old Foodsaver HandHeld.

Very cheaply made with thin brittle plastics. The clear nozzle cracked in less than one month with little use. The whole thing just feels cheap . Also the storage bags don't hold a seal for very long, less than 1 week. Customer service is non existent via website or any other method.
It's a shame Foodsaver stopped making there similar product which I had for over 10 years as it was great for sealing jars and wine bottles.

This sealer is great! It came with everything I needed, and I use it all the time. I like to season meat before I throw it in the freezer and then pull it out and cook it already seasoned! Works perfect for the job.

Every kitchen should have one of these gadgets. It really allows me to preserve food and store it for longer. In particular, it really helped me with my weekly meal planning. I recommend this anyone who wants a better way to store food!

I ORDERED THE HANDHELD FOOD VACUUM SYSTEM. WHAT I GOT BESIDES A USLESS PRODUCT WAS A MONTLY CHARGE OF $9.95 REOCCURRING FOR BAG REPLACEMENT. I DID NOT REALIZE I WAS BEING CHARGED $9.95 MONTHLY FEE FOR BAG REPLACEMENT. WHEN I CALLED THE KITCHEN ADVANCE (APPEARED AS RMC SEAL BAGS) 888-528-8486 NUMBER ON MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, THE COMPANY WOULD NOT REFUND THE CHARGES WHICH TOTALED OVER $89.55 SINCE MAY 2013.

LarryB : Great, but needs a lock.

Works very well and more handy than having to drag out the big FoodSaver unit. One major shortcoming however, the button to activate the unit is in a very convenient position but has no lock mechanism. So when you put it in the drawer or wherever you store it, make sure it doesn't fall over onto the button or the next time you go to use it the batteries will be dead. At a load of six batteries, that can get expensive, not to mention frustrating having to hunt down batteries every time you want to use it. There is no way to lock the on button to keep it from being accidentally pushed.

Update 4/14/16: Have been using the unit for a couple years now and other than the problem previously cited, it is very handy. We use it a lot more than our bigger food sealer because it is so small and handy. We have, however run into one other problem I am not sure if we can fix. The tip of the unit that you insert in the bags to vacuum them has cracked and as a result it will no longer pull a full vacuum on the bags. I am trying to find the manufacturer to see if a replacement tip can be purchased. I will update this comment again with results.

I would have given it more stars if only the unit would shut off!! The on/off button does not work properly. Once the battery cover is on, the unit ran continuously, To remove the cover is difficult….I have to use a spoon to pop it off. The suction power is great so that is a plus.
