These flys were absolutely incredible. Held up well and very well made.

I got this set for my husband for Christmas, and didn’t look at it until two days ago (3 days before Christmas!) and found that there was a crack on the back of the case. Totally crestfallen, I contacted Ventures Fly Co., just knowing there was no way to get it replaced before tomorrow and that I’d have to give my husband a broken present. But the amazing people on their customer service team two day shipped me a new case so it would be here in time for tomorrow, and it just arrived, in pristine condition! To say this is an awesome company is an understatement, I’d buy again from them just for that fact alone! Plus, with the new case, the set is great and my husband is going to love it, the flies look fantastic and it’s going to be well used! Despite the initial issue with the crack (which in reality was more a delivery issue than a quality issue), this is a quality product.

To start with I’m very happy with the order. It arrived quickly. The fly’s are well made and have good hooks. I haven’t used them yet but they look good as well. The fly box is of good quality. When I received the order two fly’s were missing. I emailed the company and they sent the missing fly’s and ten extras as an apology for a small mistake. They sent all that quickly and with a hand written note. Top marks for a quality product and excellent customer service. I will definitely do more business with these guys.

Right out of the box these feel extremely premium. I put the quality up there easily with something from "bigger" brands.

The variety is also very good, tons of different types of nymphs in different stages and sizes. I'm very impressed with the value and variety for the money from this box. This will definitely be a regular purchase for me.

These are perfect for the beginner, who is just starting out. Received my order and went out to the river that afternoon. Second cast, had a bite, set the hook and landed the fish. What more can you say than that? The cards that come with the flys are just as great! They are laminated so you can bring em to the water with you, and not worry about trashing them. To the inexperienced such as my self, they are perfect to help identify the appropriate fly for the current conditions. The box, is a pretty substantial size, and pretty decent quality as well. Plenty of room for the 40 flies you get and a whole mess more! You won’t be disappointed with this purchase. It’s only a matter of time until I order again from Ventures.

They do the job but not the same quality as a $2 or $3 fly, which is understandable per the price but the quality was not consistent from fly to fly. I will say, it is a good place to start and see what you use and what works. After that I would stock up on specific flys that are high quality. The fly box is great.

Great assortment of flies and box is great size to fit in bag. I’m new to fly fishing but fishing for a while. Trying to get kids into fishing. This is great to get them started. Flys look good quality compared to price and I won’t feel bad if we lose a few to trees, cattails, poor knots….

But overall these are great for beginners. The box is great, the info chart is useful. Would purchase for a gift. I’m sure they don’t compare to local/high end fly shop, but to get my kids hooked on fishing. These did the trick. Thanks!
