Is it tall enough to do beer can chickens?

Answer: Yes, provided you remove the middle level grate.

2 questions: how long does it take to heat up enough to grill burgers? How long does it take to grill 1/2 lb beef patties for hamburgers?

Answer: My husband says his takes about 10 minutes to heat up and 20-25 to cook burgers. I’ve never used it, but we’ve loved everything he’s cooked on it so far!

Answer: 20-25 min. Not bad.

How are there reviews from 2018 for the 2020 model? Have the temperature control issues been fixed?

Answer: I don’t know about 2018/2020 but I purchased my z700 about 2 months ago and I am very happy with it. Temp swings at startup but settles in during cook. Meaning if I set at 300 it will go higher like 350 but settles in to 300.

Answer: I wasn't aware of an issue however we are thrilled with this grill. It smokes, grills, bakes awesome all at different temperatures! Love this grill.

Answer: I bought it as a gift for son in law so I can't measure. But bottom grate covers the whole dimension, then the middle rack is only about 2/3's as wide then top grill 1/3 as wide and run full length of grill.

Answer: Fuel is hardwood pellets, ignited by 120v electricity.

Answer: Like all things made there, technology and manufacturing techniques are shared across the board in differing industries, making similar goods under different names. Ultimately it does improve product quality over time and they do learn from mistakes to make good products. I like my grill and it’s quality very much

How big was the box it was shipped in?

Answer: The box is about half the size of the total unit. It is well packaged but large, and while it can be done alone, I would recommend 2 people for unpacking and assembling for overall ease.

Answer: Regular outdoor rated cord. Not over 100 ft. Definitely NOT an indoor lamp extension.

Answer: Comes with a cover for outdoor storage. If you want a blanket for windy or very cold operations, get a blanket to size from Amazon. Yes it plugs in to 110 V exterior outlets.

Purchased this unit after much research and I must say it performed very well. My first smoke, a 12lb angus brisket, was done with outside temp in the low teens. I did purchase the insulated cover which I highly recommend. It held temp within 7-9deg the entire time. Plenty of room for any big event you can have. Overall, well worth the money. You will not be disappointed

MD Mom : Great value for consistent temperature cooking.

It is very helpful for slow and low cooking with a consistent temperature. It isn’t extremely accurate on the temperature so buy a digital probe that syncs with your phone for the beat results. I recommend getting a smoker tube to smoke for several hours, otherwise you don’t get a lot of smoke flavor since it only smokes at the lowest temperature. I highly recommend this grill.

Great smoker. All that I expected and more. I am a highly experienced and educated man of the art. This smoker has plenty of space for anything you want to smoke. I am yet to find any issues with the product. I have used it for a few months and pit it to the test quite thoroughly in that said time. OK, maybe a nice small size electric fill for an apartment owner but anyone buying this sized grill is looking for coal and or gas. I had no idea I was buying my husband an electric grill for his birthday. Imagine his confusion and my shock when we saw a plug attached. Nowhere in the description does it tell you what voltage or if it's waterproof. Bad idea. Also, they are making us pay for the return of this huge shipping item.

The assembly took two people. We recommend removing every item from the boxes first prior to beginning assembly. We used it one time so far and it was great. The brisket came out perfect and not dry at all while the chicken was amazing too. The ring around the outside of the meat was even and the flavor from the pellets was noticed. We did a burn off the night before. We will be putting this to use often. We highley recommend this product.

Easy set up. only issue I had with this was that the hot rod ignitor that starts the pellets did not work upon using the first time, which is very irritating. fortunately with my background in mechanical work I was able to find the loose connection inside the control box and was able to get it fired right up. all said other than that minor set back which could be a very big issue with someone with little or no knowledge of mechanical/wiring it turned out to be an awesome grill.

Upon Arrival parts of the boxes are damaged and found some body part are dent, but fixable . And spend more time of fixing the dent. After finish assembled and tested the electrical the display was giving an flashing error 2 code but when I turn off n on then the error code when . I tested the Grills and cooked, beef, chicken and fish. It was delicious and also juicy. The best smoke grills and the world easy to clean also.

Overall this is a pretty good product. I have a couple of issues though in that the curved chimney makes it very difficult to get the cover on and off and has stuck on the cap as well and also the cover has a tendency to knock the grease bucket off the holder. Only other complaint is that it does not get really hot when the manufacturer description seemed to indicate you could achieve higher temps. Hottest I have acheived is 433. That said, it has great surface area for grilling and has had only a few issues maintaining temps that I set it for. Also having the extra large hopper for the pellets is great as well.
