Questions about Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider – Weedless Fishing Lure with Realistic Design, Weighs ¼ oz, 2” Length
Q:
Does anyone have any suggestions for a tackle storage box to hold these spider top water lures and the frogs? i have looked at plano, gruv, etc.
Answer: I keep mine in a plano box just fine, they fit at the bottom of one of the larger cases easily with the adjustable and removable barriers. I keep a green colored one and a natural one in the same space one on top of the other.
Answer: I use craft boxes I bought at michels
Q:
Do they float?
Answer: Yes, they do float. The Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider features a hollow body weedless design and walking legs that stride, glide, and twitch as the spider is worked across the water surface. Check out this video which shows the Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider in the water. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=L83jgdVlRW0&feature=emb_logo
Answer: Yes they do but every so often u have to squeeze the water out of them
Q:
Why dose it keeps asking me to refresh my payment?
Q:
Is the spider 2 inches total length, or is it just the body that is 2 inches?
Answer: The body is 2” long and 1” wide. The entire width and length including the legs is approximately 3”x3”.
Answer: Mine measures 2 1/2 total
Q:
How many come in the package?
Answer: One
Answer: One
Answer: 1
Answer: Just one
Answer: 1
Q:
Does any one of the colors seem to be more effective than the others?
Answer: what ever color that makes it seam to hide
Answer: So far I’ve had the most luck with the dock color.
Answer: White spider was super productive. Black spider didn't have much luck but I also didn't use it as much since I was getting consistent action on the white one.
Q:
Does this actually catch fish or is it just a gag gift?
Answer: It catches fish - but it gets waterlogged quickly and sinks. Also, it's kind of dainty, so a big fish will destroy it.
Answer: Yes it does work. The hard part is fighting out the best way to work. It works best when fished like a frog
Answer: No it works great if you can get around some over hanging trees. I just ordered 2 more
Answer: It does but as a bait it needs work. Kinda expensive for how cheaply it’s made. After a little while it starts to take on water and sink. And if you keep getting bites you will loose the legs. My advice if you get it get 2. I give it a 4 outta 10.
Answer: Yes it does, but it has design flaws, probably every third cast you will have to drain the water out of it, if you don't it will sink. The main body will sit in the water while the legs sit on top of the water. Great idea bad design.
Answer: It is for real. There are videos online I'm sure demonstrating it.
Q:
can this be used for fly fishing?
Answer: The Phantom Spider is designed to be used with conventional fishing gear, it is not designed for fly fishing.
Answer: Depending on your line and what you are fishing for. Might be too big and a little heavy
Answer: Too big
Product reviews of Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider – Weedless Fishing Lure with Realistic Design, Weighs ¼ oz, 2” Length
Charles Hewitt : Shore bet
Love this lure many hook ups since started using it on shorelines, down trees, overhangs.
leslie lilla : love it
My husband poopood this until he caught a monster bass with it. Can't wait to get back to fish with it again.
Jeremy Raines : I catch a big bass
Different top water but good
Julia Cart : Meh
First cast was about 10 foot off shore to get a feel for how well it casts and movement in the water. The spider looks and feels very cool but soon as it hit the water it sank. I tried two more casts and got the same results. I think the product is likely a good one but I may have gotten one that had some issues. I may buy this product again later to se if I get the same results.

Jacob R. Stimpson : Big bass catcher!!
Very life like been hitting 5 to 7 l pounders all spring on it.
Daniel Devine : Fun!
I’ve been throwing it over low hanging branches and letting it dangle just at the surface of the water, slightly bouncing it up and down and it’s driving the bass crazy! So fun!
Adokin : First cast top water
Lots of strikes in my pond, only con is squeezing out water from the abdomen and landing upside down doesn’t right itself, causing hooks to not always set.
Jeremy Raines : I catch a big bass
Different top water but good
marshall Turner : GREAT LURE with some issue.
So this LH top water lure is fantastic but like most lures does have some issues. Main thing was it caught fish!!! Unlike other posts who put a 1 star, they still caught fish just were babies about it not being “perfect”. It’s a plastic lure with a hole in it to make it float, so it can get water in it and sink.
Pros: it had great movement on the surface, got tons of action, great color options and being weedless could be thrown anywhere.
Cons: Does land upside down but for me flipped back over every time once popping it a few times. If it got bit, it would squeeze the lure allowing water to get it and sink. Just reel it in, pinch the water out and once you do that it went back to floating properly for me. Make sure you bring needle nose because once this gets in a their throat it’s a pain to get out. Lastly, and probably my biggest issue; after tons of action the paint came off quite a bit on the very first day.
I love this lure, did its jobs but does have flaws, overall catches fish and is fun to fish with. Everyone needs a few of these in their bag. Also check out LH “Froglet” if you like walking the dog.
R P : Well made.
I was kinda scared because I thought the legs would be flimsy and come off. Still on it 500 casts later. And I caught my PB striper using it. I say it's a win
Anthony Brown : The spider!!!!!
I had a lot of fun using this until I got it stuck on a log lol. The only problem I had is bringing in the fish b4 it came unhooked. So spread them hooks out so u can land that big one.

@_dan_the_mannn_ : Seems durable but won't stay afloat. Avoid
I read reviews about the legs falling off and ordered anyway. While no legs fell off, the fat body of the spider quickly fills with water which essentially prevents this from being a topwater lure. Frustrating when you have to take time between every cast to squeeze the water out of the lure. There are not enough hours in the day to waste time like this.
Aiptasia : Got banana spiders?
If you live in the south eastern USA, you're probably familiar with big yellow orb weaver spiders. I like to call them banana spiders, because they're big and yellow and are long like a cavendish banana. Anyway, orb weavers love woodsy areas adjacent to or on wetlands and in the spring and summer, build enormous beautiful webs.
They're also amazing bass bait. This is a great top water lure for fishing right underneath branches and overhangs. As if the spider just fell off a branch web and into the water. It's rigged up weedless so you can just flick cast it where you need to and work it over hyacinths and lilly pads.

sidney vandyke : Excellent Lure
This is a Very Good Lure, i wish they had more colors. I only have 1 problem with this Spider, the legs feel a little too fragile, i have caught a 3 pound bass with it, so far its holding up very well, it never fails too draw strikes. Overall I love this product, just needs more colors and the legs need to be Tougher.
Anthony Brown : The spider!!!!!

Breadcrumbs : Terrible presentation.
It might have been a bad apple but my spider started sinking in the first cast. It also has a hard time flipping over if you land it upside down due to the legs. For a 9 dollar lure i am a bit disappointed. I could work it just great a few times but if it landed weird after a pop it would just start sinking and flipping in the water. Not sure what to feel about it.
Jay Nonya : Who doesn't love big fat bAss?
Bass will apparently blow up on it... so it works.
James Sheltray : I haven't caught a fish.
You need light line with no swivel or micro leeder.
JOHN SCHIRMER : spider
does not cast as far as i thought floats well
Justin : Extreme disappointment!!!
Looks good but is a huge disappointment. Doesn't even begin to float. Not a top water lure at all. Would give 0 stars if an option.
Donnie Grigsby : Great price and fast delivery
My son got it for Christmas and he's already used. Has great life like action. He wants to order other colors.

William : That lock real
Have tird thin yet
nathan hicks : No for the price
To light swim alright needs more weight in it to make it work able.
Alex : Awesome Top water lure
One of the best top water lures I’ve used! I like these better than frogs because their legs give off a better ‘live bait’ feel and look. I’ve caught plenty of fish to properly rate this lure and as I write this comment I have another spider coming in by mail. They are great lures and in the right conditions will get you some nice fish. Throw along the edges on the shore line and on grassy areas.
People who rate this lure poorly because it “falls apart” must be casting in a horrible place because it’s not a cheap lure, it’s well made and designed.
Also those who say it’s not heavy enough, the problem isn’t the lure it’s the set up, lower down your line and reel capacity. I use anything between 8-12 lb line for mine
Great job LH!
Tordek : 2 down more to buy
Did well on the water plan on buying more soon!
Jennifer Gardner : Cool luer, NOT a set of 2
Cool product but every photo shown on the color options shows a set of TWO. It is not 2 luers, it is only 1, which is disappointing for the price and false advertising in my opinion.
bornfree : Great lure
Sinks a little too much but works way better than a frog
Brian David Eovitch : These lures are just too cool! They make great gifts!!!
This review is for “Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider – Weedless Fishing Lure with Realistic Design, Weighs ¼ oz, 2” Length”. I bought three of these as a gift for my sweetheart who loves fishing. The colors I got her are as follows: Widow Maker, Six Spot and Dock. I couldn’t decide on just one color of these awesome lures! I thought about buying them all. My sweetheart was ecstatic when she opened the Amazon box and saw them!!! She can’t wait until she can go fishing and use them. She also loves spiders so these were a win win. The legs are just so lifelike and they look like real spiders. I did some research and watched a bunch of videos where people were fishing with these and had awesome results. I’ll come back and update my review after she uses them to fish. Hope this helps and have a great and blessed day! ????????

Hector marquez : So life like
It works amazing first cast with it and caught a 5 pound bass love it ordered more of them
Blue : Doesn’t float like all LH top water crap!
It works but like all Lunkerhunt stuff it looks better than it works. 1st it sinks, again like all Lunkerhunt top water soft lures it sinks! They need to learn how to make a top water float already! 2nd it’s very fragile and for the price they need to make it tougher. The little fish I caught in the pics ripped it and now it sinks even faster and sets nose down butt up above the water and looks ridiculous! So basically worthless after one 6oz fish???? it’s a fun toy but not something everyone needs and don’t get your hopes up it’s pretty much a mantle piece.
Bradley K. : Wouldn’t buy again
Didn’t float well, tough to make it look real on the water.
SHON H. : Approved
Great product
Lawerence Bowens : is ok
i really liked the look and feel of this lure. it caught a few fish. The hooks are good and sticky sharp. The body collapsed easily of easy hook ups. The durablilty is an issue. i lost one leg on the first case. Then a second leg about three cast later pulling the lure throusom brush. i’d like to see the lure manufacturer’s come up with a more durable product. Another thing I’d like to see improved is the water tightness of the lure improved. i had to squeeze the water out of the lure about every three or four case. would purchase the lure again as well as recommended the lure. it worked for me.
Amazon Customer : Lure sinks
Lure sinks not useable
Michael Mullins : Looks real, bass think so too!
Yep, bass love this lure. I wish it dint fill up with water each and ever-time I cast, thats kind of a bummer.
Jay Nonya : Who doesn't love big fat bAss?
Bass will apparently blow up on it... so it works.
stephen guido : Looks real
