Wouldn't it be more practical to just buy a 50 cent can of corn to fish with?

Answer: No, the plastic corn stays on the hook. Baits a hair rig is time consuming and having a scented bait thst will not come off catches more fish because the bait is in the water more

Answer: This fake corn is used on a hair rig in place of real corn. The fish won’t be able to tear it off as easily. It’s a real pain to add corn to your rig or hook every time you cast your bait.

I add sweet corn oil which helps them float and swells them from normal corn size to feed corn size.. they already do have a great smell before I add to them. Oh, also I would compare the softness to that of a artificial bass worm. Cheaper corns are more like a pencil eraser.. the oil will soften them as well but not so much. Answer: Not really had them float to well. Weight of the hooks pretty much over loads the ones I've used.

Answer: They will float great depending on the size of the hook. My husband used size 4 trout hook.

How would this work with a Hair Rig?

Answer: I have used it on a hair rig exclusively! Works well! I caught a 28 lb KOI from a local pond using this, and an oatmeal pack bait.

Answer: the loop above the hook the corn gets attached there. You need to get the kit that lets you put the corn on it. often the kit comes with the hair rig hooks......google it.

Answer: The bait probably got stronger smell to attract fish and to be honest it is easier if you don’t want to deal with real corn mess...

I haven't caught a fish on these yet. Not from lack of fish or skill either. I have tried these is a few places and never had a bite on them. While at the same spot same day I have use can corn and worms and been successful at catching cats and carp. I might stick to the home favorites. Hotdogs, can corn, worms, and cut bait.

Only plus is this will stay on your hook no problem.

Never really used fake corn but after fishing a few places with lots of small fish that steak your bait I pulled these out and started using them. I like that I’m not sitting there waiting for a bite only to realize your bait was stolen an hour ago (I target carp).
Note: doesn’t work well by itself. While using, keep chum real corn and it works great.

Really great carp bait! They do float, but don’t expect one or two pieces to float a premium heavy carp hook. I use two pieces and it sinks very slowly and looks real natural. I use a hair rig so the corn does sit up off bottom just slightly. I’ve caught probably 40 carp on this pack, and I still have ten or so left. So really well lasting baits. They do fling off on occasion.

I have been using these fake corns for carp and catfish. They work great. Fake corn smells wonderful. These bait keep working even after the smell is gone. I usually use 1 or 2 fake corn in a hair rig. These worked great on summertime and have kept working through the fall. The fake corn is buoyant and the fish have no chance of knowing there is a hook below.
