Answer: Either way has worked for me. Had the most ferocious hit while bass fishing in a strip pit but got off in about 20 seconds. Looked at the lure and the whole hook plus the eyelet screw ripped out. I love this lure life like and easy to fish with.

Took it to the river just to try it out. Mostly I just wanting to check the balance and action. Both were very good. Caught just one striped bass but that was ok because I probably just didn’t get into them good. Colors were good and the hooks were sharp.

Got these to try something new. I normally go after largemouth bass with leeches. Decided I would try something new and they did not disappoint. Only have tried one lake and at night time. I will be testing out other lakes in area.

These are excellent quality lures. So far I have caught several bass with them normally at dawn or dusk. This is when I have the best luck topwater. The hooks were much better quality than expected. Very sharp right out of the box. The material is soft yet durable. They are exceptional running through vegetation or lily pads.
