Answer: This rig is suitable for inshore species such as trout, redfish, blue fish and others. I have landed up to 10lb. Black bass and 25lb. Stripers so you should be fine for the species I suggested.

Make sure you use heavy-duty line like 30# or bigger or you will lose it quickly. 10# will not work.

This was by far after doing research the cheapest and best a-rig. With the blades, weight, and multi color package of 4, I have bought 4 packages this year and caught a lot of spotted and barred sand bass. Not just large or small mouth bass.

Grigs68 : Really bad hardware on the ones I received.

Mine had regular snap swivels and not the locking type shown in the picture. Out of the four, two had blades that had already fallen off in the package. Yes, these are cheap but, well....they are really cheaply made too. I also bought a YUM brand and it was just as pictured and much better quality although a single cost about the same as this four-pack. I might use these for sand bass or other smaller fish but no way would I trust the swivels if I am trying to catch decent sized fish.

So far I have only used one of the rigs and I am not impressed with it. The blades slide up and get tangled up at the top. The arms are not really set up to be spread right so it gets tangled a lot!
