Would the 8000 work with a 12 foot carp rod? Also what is the mono capacity for it? There is no information

Answer: I have the 6000 mounted on an 11 foot rod. My 12 foot rod has a different brand 8500 reel on it and this is a very good combination. I can't help you with line capacity. I suggest visiting the mfg web site.

Justin McCracken : Let down

Fell apart 2 casts in, reel started free spooling as I tried to reel it in. Even with drag engaged and bait drag disengaged the reel would not work. Very disappointed...other than this I have had no issues with PENN

Jimbo : Missing the most important Parts

I got bought this Fishing reel from the Wearhouse as good condition ECT. I don't mind that its it in the original packing or of that's damaged, which it was. but when I looked at it, Its missing the Spool and drag yea a major parts of a reel. A new replacement spool and the drag, is over 60.00 $ Sorry Amazon for this review but it needed to be known. Amazon I know we can do better at evaluating items. any questions please let me know.
