M S : Quality Control Issues
I made a mistake of buying Amazon renewed version of this COSORI dehydrator. Inside & outside had scratches and on the inside where grill sits, there were dark grease stains that I could not get rid of completely. When I plugged in for initial 30 minute operation as suggested by manual, it seemed to be working as the heat coils got bright but the fan never turned on and it just popped some sort of fuse (it sounded like) and never turned back on again. It's not the electrical outlet since other appliances worked fine in that same outlet.
Fortunately it was free return and that's why I took the risk but $30 isn't enough of reward for this. I've wasted my time cleaning this thing, testing, repackaging for return, and taking it to UPS. I ended up buying another brand dehydrator, NEW.
To be honest, I would have still returned this unit even if it worked due to the grease marks inside. I would not recommend buying this product renewed or any other cooking appliances for that matter.

Will not turn on. I was sold a defective unit that was previously returned by a woman in May. Her receipt was in the instruction manual. The recipe book was not helpful at all as it did not give me times and temps for basic food dehydrating. The book was obviously used.

racks wont stay in place have to put tin foil on them or they fall right down. this model is very quiet however and dries very well. only issue is the racks not staying in place without foil on sides
