Can i buy spare spool for this reel?

Answer: Yes i believe so if nkt on amazon then on the manufacturer website

Are additional spools available to purchase?

Is this a full cage framed reel like the picture of the left right retrieve fix

Answer: Yes it is. I bought this reel for my girlfriend for her first time fly fishing for salmon in upstate new York. She landed 20+ nice size king and coho salmon on this reel. For the price its a pretty well made reel and stood up to salmon season last year. I plan to get another one for her as a back up just in case

Is the drag really sealed?

Answer: yes,had mine for nearly a year no problem

I have both 5wt and 8wt fiberglass rods. Can i use your 5-7 reel on both rods? I would use different line wts.

Answer: Of course.

How do you change reel from right to hand ?

Answer: First loosen the knob that holds the spool to the arbor. Don't remove it. The spool should easily come off. Then follow the steps by step photos illustrating how to change from right to left. They can be found in the Amazon site where the reel is sold. Hope this helps.

Answer: Change the handle to the other side I’m sure there’s a threaded hole there

Is the retrieve silent? Can you fan the spool to pick up line?

Answer: No the click is fairly loud and satisfying. And yes, you can pick up line by spinning the spool. You can add drag by palming, too, though there seems to be plenty available.

Answer: The retrieve is silent. I don’t know what fan the spool is.

Are there any maintenance requirements for this reel? Oil or grease the bearing assembly every so often?

Answer: Yes, the bearing and handle will need lube periodically.

How do you select reel size? There is no pulldown box on the page?

Answer: If there is no option for a different size then thats the only size in stock or being sold by that particular seller. I got the 7-8 weight reel myself
