Are the internal components stainless? If not what are they made out off.

Answer: If you’re asking whether or not it would be a good saltwater reel, all I know are the reviews that I have read elsewhere stating that it’s more of a freshwater reel, but would likely be fine for saltwater as well. I’m not 100% certain what the internal components consist of.

Some guy : Great reel

So far so good. I had a behemoth and wasn’t impressed. Pay a little more and go with the cnc cut reel. I love redington, and this is a nice reel for the price. Light, smooth and mechanically above the cast versions.

Jay : Hard to beat value - a solid fly reel

Initial thoughts: this reel is a great value: tight, solid sealed drag, larger arbor. The only knock against it is the drag knob is plastic but for a sub $200 reel I’m OK with it. The photo shows the reel loaded up with 150 yards of 20 lb Cortland Micro backing and a Airflow WF6/7 Intermediate line. For comparison, this is a nicer real than my Piscifun Platte and on par with my (older) Galvin Rush. We’ll see how it responds in action.
