Will the 5" ones work well on a 3/16 oz jig head or would it work better on a 5/16oz jig head
Answer: They work great on both. I use the 5/16 in a little swifter water. I do a lot of creek fishing smallies love these.
Answer: I think the rod's action would be a more relevant criteria for choosing, but I'd go with the bigger jig head.

How do I fish these?
Answer: A lot of people fish these with a NED rig either 1/4oz or less. I personally use either Zman or Lifted Jigs NED EWG 1/4oz for the best results! Smallies love these things!! Good luck! And well worth the money! As well as the Tackle HD Hi-Def Craw!
Answer: There are many ways. I’ve mostly fished them on a shaky head. I’ve also used them to tip a jig. I’m thinking about trying them on a drop shot.
Answer: Best way is 1/8 oz splitshot about 10 inches from the hook. use 1/0 wide gap hook. Cast and twitch and drag slow. Best hook ratio
Answer: Carolina rig. That’s the only way I caught one using these. They’re not heavy enough for a split shot rig like a senko. You could probably get away with a nose hooked drop shot.
Answer: Drop shot, Neko rig, Ned rig, Tokyo rig ,Texas rig,Tackle HD makes a weedless jig too.
Answer: Probably Texas Rig. Put on bottom and jig it, up and down. Strikes will probably hit as it is dropping back to the bottom.

The bait is not bad. I caught fish on them. Ordinarily, I would give the bait an average 3 stars (good bait, not bad, not super great either), but I deducted one star duo the seller's claims that this bait is durable and realistic. Of course, I can see the picture and see that it is not a realistic imitation, but the durability was just not there. After one pack, I now use another brand of hellgrammites that are more realistic and much more durable.
