The new REVROS LT incorporates the LT Concept of light but tough in a proven reel design. The spinning reel’s weight was reduced by 2 ounces in the 2000 model and a hefty 5 ounces in the 4000 model. The Daiwa Revros LT Spinning Reels are a new wallet-friendly series of spinning reels from Daiwa that take their "Light and Tough (LT)" concept and apply it to the time-tested Revros series of spinning reels. At the core of this reel's design is a lightweight, yet incredibly rugged composite housing. In fact, when you pick up a Revros, your first instinct may be to think that its a high-end JDM reel, but it ain't. Rather, the light composite housing gives it the weighting and performance similar to that of some $500+ spinning reels, but does so with innovative, economical materials that don't necessitate a jaw-dropping price tag.

The new Revros LT is also significantly lighter than previous Revros models. The reel's weight was reduced by 2 ounces in the 2000 model and 5 ounces in the 4000 model. What's the max drag on a 4000?

Answer: 26.4 lb

I have an old Daiwa 6ft 6in medium action rod. It’s in great shape, would this reel match well with it?

Answer: I put this on a 7’ medium action Ugly Stik. Absolutely love it. Plan to get a couple more to replace some tired reels that I have. Reel capacity is just what I need to run braid or fluorocarbon for bass. Hope this helps.

can i use it in salt water

Answer: It would be fine in salt water but you will have to completely rinse and clean the reel to prevent any corrosion or damage.

Answer: I’m not sure what a braid ready spool is, but I use braid on my reel and it works really well. Mine are set up with power pro line, I tie an arbor knot and then put a piece of gorilla tape to keep the anchor point on the line secure and it works really well for me.

Can you put ten lbs line on it

Answer: I wouldn’t. It’s a lightweight reel and rated for lightweight line. It’s a rig that challenges your abilities to bring in a fish that weighs considerably more than the weight rate captivity of the line.

Answer: I have the 2500 and i am spooled with 10lb nanofil with probably about 130yds worth. Keep in mind this is a pretty shallow spool, if u plan on using mono or floro i would probably go up to a 4000 size if you need 100+ yds. I would imagine on the 2500 i have i would be less than 90yds. Hope this helps and good luck!

Can you put 30lb braided line on this reel?

Answer: I guess that is a users preference, but I have put 30 lb PowerPro braid on mine and it works great for a big (20-30lb) fish reel. It won’t cast as far as lighter line but you probably know that. I haven’t put a ton of hours on the set up yet, but so far no wear has been noted. I still love this reel. I keep this as my clean nice reel and I fish mostly cats in the summer so I haven’t used it as much as other reels so it’s still my good reel not a beater reel. Not that it wouldn’t handle the abuse, I just want a nice setup for bass and trout fishing. Sorry long answer.

What would be the best choice diawa reel for crappie fishing?

Answer: I bought the LT2000. 2 of them. I've caught everything from bait fish to 6lb. reds and snook. You can't go wrong with this light tackle reel.

Answer: I bought the Daiwa, Revros LT Spinning Reels, Freshwater, 5.2:1 Gear Ratio, 47.40" Retrieve Rate, 5 Bearings, Ambidextrous. We fish in Minnesota for pan fish, walleye, and northern. I love this reel, smooth and great quality. It is great for Crappie.

Answer: It depends on how much you want to spend but but being that a lot of crappie fishing is done using live bait under a float or slip float vs constant cast and retrieve method. It really isn't necessary to spend a ton. This model would be plenty good. I have one myself in a walleye size for stick baits and shads.

What is the max lbs test thst Diawa states on thecreal

Answer: 5lb nylon. I've used 4lb and at that the capacity was low, so 5lb would be even less. I just switched it to 10lb braid but haven't used that yet. It's a good reel for what it is. I wouldn't try to put anything heavier than 4lb mono or 10lb braid on it.

diamondjime : Very smooth reel/ LT2000

This reel is very smooth, has a smooth drag, and is built really well. My 2nd time using it it came off my rod because the thing that holds the reel broke on the pole. And the reel went right into the water. After taking the reel apart to clean all of the sand out of the reel I was seeing that everything was good quality and in the gears there was very little sand and no water soo this is a very well sealed. I thought this was a really simple reel as I took it apart and its only my 2nd time taking a reel apart and I had no problems everything was pretty straight forward. Over all great reel for small bass and panfish!!!!

Tiny spool on this 2000 size reel. Traditionally Daiwas ran a little bit larger than Shimano or Penns... not the case here. Also the bail hits the drag knob causing a slight jam that is enough to turn the drag knob that turns way too easily IMO.. All in all the reel is smooth but annoying

This is the perfect size for bass fishing. Lined with 20lb braid. Is very smooth and quiet. Looks great too!

Handle loose and wiggles when fully tightened. Returned and the replacement had the same issue. Left the plastic washer on at the elbow of the handle and that fixed the problem. Bad batch???

I haven't even used it a full season, but the action and build quality seem great. The only con I can think of is the low spool length, but I got this for lightweight trekking with a telescoping rod, not for casting a mile.
