Jon Sorensen : Not worth the money
I found that this product dosnt live up tho the Lews name! After fishing with it for 3 days the drag has faltered already twice and you cant lock it down like you should be able to. The amount of line is good but cant go over 20# or the reel dosnt cast very well. If ya want a small line dia. and good trolling reel this is good but not for catfish!
Jeremy Fraley : Perfect all around, delivery,, packaging, and love the reel.
Fishing... Love the reel so far.
Kenneth Watson : Versatile. Strong. Smooth drag
Really like this reel. It has proven to be oustanding for catfiahing bot from the bank, and on boats. Trolling, bumping, suspending, casting, strung with 20lb Sufix mono, it has winched everything up to 30lbs at this point. I am very pleased with how responsive the reel is to different techniques. I fine reel at a fine price.
Ben Wimberley : Handle is bent
Name brand of Lew's ...but would not recommend any used stuff ....stuff gets overlooked and you end up with the problem
Darken : Spend the extra on a Lew's Speedcast SC600
Ok, first off, I generally LOVE Lew's reels. Even the $40 spinner I got at Wally World is fantastic. This reel just...isn't. It's extra medium. Utterly mediocre. Drag is fussy and not smooth. When casting and reeling, noisy as hell. It's a beautiful reel, but its beauty only goes skin deep. Inside, it's a compromise-filled mess. The Speedcast SC600 is far and away smoother, stronger, and faster. This reel is so 'meh' it's forgettable. Nothing about it (in hand) screams quality or value. It's just another in a long line of average reels that cost more than they should. The KastKing Rover is a better value, and I really don't like those. They have that same noisy, rough operation, but at a lower price. The bait clicker is very loud, and I actually prefer the actuator on this one over the SC600, but other than that, it's not on the same planet as a good reel, like my (Swedish) Abu 6500 or 7000s. I did purchase this from another vendor, but am adding my review here. (WW).
david bruce : Lews
Works great
Yedoc1991 : Broken after one use, unusable.
This reel would be rated 0 stars if I could. Used one time, didn’t even catch anything, and the drag stopped working, reel will no longer reel in line. Handle just spins and spool doesn’t. Can pull line out super easily with max drag set. Threw away my money.
kevin howze : Pos
I think it’s broke. It don’t cast like my zebco. Line keeps getting messed up
WaterZombie : Best round reel for under $100
I was skeptical about getting a round reel that's not an Abu but this thing will sling some lead just as far as my abus with the breaks taken out and it's crazy smooth I'm definitely ordering more
cliff barnett : Great
Very smooth, holds good amount of line for 50 pound mono, however holds a ton if smaller line, 15 pound max drag, just like a abu, but less money but feels like a high end reel, if you cant justify spending $100+ on a reel grab one of these guys wont be disappointed.
Jeremy Fraley : Perfect all around, delivery,, packaging, and love the reel.
Fishing... Love the reel so far.
Amazon Customer : Guide certified, so far.
ETA, almost a year now, still going strong.
So far so good. Striper guide, using to pull planer boards only, bought 6, been used hard for a month, still working perfectly.

ROSCO : A good loud reel
I read where this reel is loud when you cast and one of mine is. I have 2. The problem is that you have to listen to it for a 75- 80 yrd cast. With a 3oz weight these reels will cast a large chunk of cut bait past my other reels 15yrds . So far they have handled a 32# and 15 # without a hitch. Even my Abu's make a rackit when you cast.
