Answer: Yes, if your gonna bass fish you will need to buy some bigger wide gap hooks but it does come with a small assortment of hooks.

Its an ok way to get a tackle box started and give you a way to try some different things for fairly cheap. Lacking on the quality side but the kicker is the hooks are comically small and there's a lot of them so the total number of usable pieces is much less than advertised. Wouldn't buy again.

Reading the higher star reviews it seems a lot of them were given as gifts "gave to X, they loved it".. no one is going to say they didnt like your hobby related gift, and in my experience people outside of hobbys give these types of cheap do it all type sets. For all types of hobbys, not just fishing.

I didn't get it the first time but I did get the 2nd one today. I must say I'm VERY underwhelmed. The picture showed an actual fishing tackle box. Instead what I got was something small enough to fit in a VHS video case. And THIS is supposed to have 270+ items in it. Do they grow when you pour water on them? What the heck. You need to advertise for what it really is AND give measurements of the so called tackle box. Jeez !!!

Not a bad gift idea, and a decent starter kit. You do get what you pay for though, meaning that this bass kit is more of a crappie/ small perch kit. There are a few useful bass items, but more likely to attract smaller game fish. Lures do have fair retrieval action and seem to be painted well enough. All in all not a bad beginner's kit.

You are getting what you pay for, the lures are pretty cheap quality. Some of the fake baits look like they came out of a kids gumball machine and the case was broken and taped together. I recently moved states and was trying to restoke lost fishing supplies, if you share a similar goal find a different product.
