Answer: Probably not, I got it for bass and have replaced the clamp twice already with much smaller fish. I think the scale would be fine though.

Answer: 12 months mail in warranty. The scale is water resistant NOT waterproof. I would expect in fresh water you might be able to dry it out if you sent it swimming - but i would not depend on that.

Answer: You can tare out the the weight very easily with the press of a button. I believe that is what the customer did not do which caused the weights to be off.

Answer: Yes. I have seen the grippers sold separately. I don’t remember where though.

Answer: There is clearly a Bluetooth symbol in the upper right corner that displays briefly when it’s powered on. Since it’s not mentioned anywhere in the manual nor on Rapala’s website, my guess is that there will probably be a newer (and more expensive) version coming that has Bluetooth.

This product has one purpose and one purpose only. To weigh the fish you catch. It has a simple setup. 2 triple A batteries which are not provided and a power on button to get it going. Simple right? No. Apparently this product can and will die on you without warning and will not turn back on again. Initially I thought they were dead batteries so I purchased a brand new pack and replaced them. Nope, still dead. I even tried changing the duration of time I held the power button on for. Nothing still. So either I got a dud unit or something. Needless to say, I will not be buying one of these digital scales from Rapala again. Two stars for accuracy and ease of use, however.

Love the scale. Kept the direction because it’s a bit much to remember to store the weights but works great.

The first day we used this product it seems to work pretty good. The accuracy is slightly off though. Most of the fish we weighed ended up being about a .25 - .30 ounces off. When fishing a bass tournament, that makes a big difference!!! A few days later we attempted to use again and you could see moisture in the screen and it would not power on. We had a stored in the boat in a waterproof compartment so, this confused us that there was moisture in the device. We've tried using again about a dozen times and it has only powered on 2 times. I would NOT recommend this product.

Screen is not bright at all and difficult to see in the sunlight. Almost every single time I attempt to weigh a fish, it gives no reading. I then have to reset the unit at least once or twice before it starts working. Never buying this again.

I'm very happy with these rapala scales. They are small doesn't take up room. Some of the reviews I've read said it wasn't accurate mine very accurate. Best of all love the clamp holds a 5 pound bass no problem.

This scale was only a little off compaired to other scales. I would be able to deal woth that but the product is made cheaply. Within a month it started to fll apart and pieces were coming off. I would not buy this again and am very disappointed with the product.

The scale is more compact than I expected, and very easy to use. It's a little pricey, but definitely loaded with options to make it worth it. The screen is easy to read. It comes with two fish holding options, a lip clamp used in this photo and a gill hook. The scale is easy to zero and can record several fish weights. The metal loop at the top is also a bottle opener.

The design looks cool but the use of many cursors buttons simply does not match up to the confusing browser menu. Whose is going to remember holding the button down for more than 3 seconds will activate the measurement units change sequence from Lb to Kg or vice versa. Saving the weight readings into each of the 5 memories slot is just as challenging.

Poor backlighting that readings hard to read- what can I say more ? Font size need to be bigger and there is no need for more than 1 row of readings.

Sent my unit to IGFA and had it certified. Very accurate and easy to use. Only issue, but not a complaint is remembering what sequence of buttons to press to clear out stored weights. Love the contrast color and it is very easy to see. the grip is a little on the week side, but it has been working ok. I highly recommend this if you looking for an accurate scale.

I got perhaps three weights with this scale. never got it wet or excessive heat. now it will not zero or show weight as we tried it this morning. My view is it's not worth the money. checking back with Amazon where it was purchased in April on the 27th and it said this item is no longer available for return. Piece of junk, will not buy another battery operated scale.
