Can the data lock function be turned off on this scale? I cannot use with data lock.

Answer: YES IT CAN! Press n hold tare for 2 seconds. Display will show Either L_ON or L_OF. Press til You have the function you want. ON Will also display a locked icon in the top right corner. Off Function will remove the locked icon.

Answer: That would be a neat feature but I don't think this one does that. Nice little scale but no blue tooth.

I see the maximum weight it will read but what is the minimum weight it reads?

Answer: I can't answer specifically cuz it is in my toolbox 20 miles from here. BUT, I haven't had a problem with small weights. I think it will weigh down to about 35 grams or 2 ounces (maybe even 1 ounce), but can't be sure without trying it (not today, tho)

The scale came with minor scratches. The scale was also missing batteries. I ordered the same scale three weeks ago and it did come with batteries. This is really frustrating as I didn't open the package until tonight and I am leaving for a fishing trip at 530 in the morning and do not have the batteries that the product requires.

The hard handle is nice and easy to use but I prefer the smaller scales, even though they only have a lanyard.

Worked first day, tried it a week later and it no longer powered on. Tape measure instantly started to rust, not a good fishing scale as it appears to lack quality.

When I was a teenager, I had a tape measure and Scale from K Mart the thing was great, couldn't find one even at LARGE fishing outdoor chain. Searched on line found this haven't used it yet, but design is excellent. With built digital scale, built in tape measure at least 36 inches, a scale hook which neatly tucks out of the way in back, and lastly a carrying case and hook to loop onto your pants.

MY only concern is I wish it was screw on battery cover and gasket so this compartment was waterproof or even entire item was water resistant or proof. I plan to place clear packing tape over battery compartment so at least batteries don't get wet.

But would by again or recommend at this time. ( Time will tell its durability )

I was trying to see the length of the measuring tape and when I got near the end, something snapped and the tape would not retract back into the scale. The scale seems fine, although I haven't used it yet. Just a bad first impression. I'm still bringing it on a 5 day fishing trip in the bwca, but I wish I just paid extra for a better product.
