Questions about Nutri-Lock Vacuum Sealer Bags. 100 Quart Bags 8x12 Inch. Commercial Grade Food Saver Bags. Works with FoodSaver and Sous Vide. BPA Free.
Q:
What is the max rated temperature of these bags? my normal food saver bags tend to fail at temps above 160f.
Answer: I don't know the highest temp, but I made some sous vide corn at 180 for 45 minutes and the bags were fine.
Answer: I never took the bags temperature. Do you mean the food you are trying to seal is above 160? I'd just wait awhile until it cools more...
Q:
How wide are these bags?
Answer: Inside measurement is 7 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/4 inches long. These are great heavy duty bags. I really like them
Answer: They are garbage. They don't seal right and avoid them if you can. Our friends had the same problem with these bags also, so it wasn't just a bad batch. We had to throw them out.
Q:
I assume the open part of the bag is the small (8") side, correct?
Answer: That is correct.
Answer: Yes. The most sides are pre-sealed.
Answer: You are right.
Answer: yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
Will these bags work with Nutri-Chef brand vacuum sealers?
Answer: Yes they are the same ones I use....I buy them 100 at a time ...a little tip if you need a smaller bag just cut them in half and seal the cut side and you will have a smaller bag instead of buying them .... hope this helps ...these bags are commercial grade and work in all sealers even tho I am partial to this brand....
Answer: Yes - They will work in any 'Clamp' style sealer.
Answer: I would think they would be fine They worked great for us.
Answer: They should, they work just find with my Food Saver Seal a Meal machine.
Answer: THey worked for me.
Q:
Do these bags hold their seal when used for long, "high-temp" sous vide recipes? Other brands leak on the sides at 165F after a few hours.
Q:
Does this bag work with Weston 2300 pro sealer?
Q:
What materials are the bags made from?
Answer: They are made from quality materials. BPA free I wouldn't buy just any old bag either.
Answer: They are a heavy duty plastic - just like the name brand bags
Answer: Heavy duty plastic, they work just like any other vac bag for vac sealers
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Answer: one side is smooth and one side rigid seal the smooth side for a better job! just saying
Answer: Heavy plastic?
Q:
Can you buy these in just the pint size?
Answer: You can also purchase the quart size which is the best for storage of meat, fish etc.
Q:
Are they microwave safe?
Answer: I don't know I would never microwave any food in plastic.
Answer: yes
Q:
Do these bags have texture on both sides or just one?
Answer: These bags are textured on one side, just like the FoodSaver bags and work just as well for a fraction of the price.
Answer: These bags are textured on one side only and smooth on the otherside....they are BPA free. More economical to use and they can be reused over many times....
Answer: Just textured on the outside.
Answer: They look good, but we havent used them yet so cant answer the texture question.
Q:
Does this work with heat sealed foodsavers? Wasn't sure what a clamp style meant for sure. Thanks!
Answer: They work great with heat seal units at home. I love the pre made bags and they save money.
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Answer: Yep.
Q:
Do these bags work with mueller vacuum sealers
Answer: I can't answer this because I'm Not familiar with the mueller vacuum sealers! Because this item can be used in most sealers, I would guess this will work if the width of the sealing mechanism will accept the size of bagging rolls.
Answer: Yes
Q:
Do the bags have logo of manufacture on them or are they plain?
Answer: No, they are nice and plain. Great product. Recommended.
Q:
are these bags reusable? I mean can I wash, dry and reuse them?
Answer: These bags are sealed under heat with a Seal a Meal type machine. If you wanted to try reusing them, I would say you could do it at your own risk. You may not get the proper seal.
Answer: Yes. On your first use seal the bag at the very edge. Then cut close to the seal when you open it. Then you have room to seal on the next use, and the next use, and the next use.
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Answer: I have never tried to do that. The bags however are very sturdy, so it could be possible.
Answer: I don't see why not. I wouldn't only because it would be too much work.
Q:
what are the dimensions of the unused pint bags ?
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Q:
Will these bags work on a Mooka sealer?
Answer: I don't know what a Mooka sealer is, but my guess would be that if they fit, they will work. They are just a bag, similar to seal a meal. They work great for me.
Answer: Works great on any machine, even on the cheap one I own. I even do fresh avocados, fruit and vegetables.
Q:
Where are these bags made? Thank you very much.
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Q:
Do these bags have a zipper?
Answer: No. You cut them the length you want them to be and use the device to seal each end.
Answer: No. They require the Vacuum Sealer to seal them.
Answer: No
Q:
What dimensions are they
Answer: They offer different sizes. Depending on the size you select it will tell you what the dimensions are in the description.
Q:
Will these bags work on with a rival seal-a-meal model vs75?
Answer: Haven't tried the bags but the rolls work great in my V5800
Answer: I wish I knew the answer. I know that there great bags and they work amazing on my machine.
Q:
Do they leak
Answer: I have not had any leaks when properly sealed. Good product. I use 2 sizes.
Answer: If you seal them properly, they do not leak.
Answer: I have used these bags on many different items and I have never had one leak. Great bags, great value.
Answer: No. They work great.
Answer: No, they actually work better than the name brand.
Answer: no, if they are sealed properly
Answer: As long as your vacuum Sealing items that don't have sharp edges no they don't peek I ignore that
Answer: Not if they ate sealed properly
Answer: I have reorder twice now with positive results and completely satisfied. Reminds me I need to reorder again.
Q:
What is the plastic material made from if not bpa, bps?
Answer: Not sure but seems to be same as branded material that came with our sealer.
Q:
Do you have to cut bags to size
Answer: I use the quart size for the majority of my vacuum sealing ..... if I had sealed some bread then I can cut near the sealing ...remove what I need and you can reseal and put back in freezer.....I guess if you wanted a smaller sized bag you could cut it any size you want as long as you leave enough space to reseal with the sealer... if you would like a lot of smaller bags ...order the pint size and that would solve your problem....hope this information helps....I love these bags and they are reusable when you wash throughly and let dry....
Answer: They are cut to quarts or gallons (actually a little over size. Very plentiful). Sealed in 3 side. Just add your stuff and seal. We love these! Recommended to many people
Q:
Will these bags work with Aicok vacuum sealer?
Answer: Didn't work on my food saver
Q:
are bags microwaveable?
Answer: Thanks for your question.
Q:
Anybody else have their bags come not sealed in the heat shrink bag? I think I got a used/returned item.
Answer: The heat shrink bags can sometimes break in very hot or very cold weather. It doesn't affect the quality of the bags as they are continuous clean interior until you cut them.
Q:
How wide are these?
Answer: 8" wide x 12" long
Q:
will these work for mueller model mv-1100 ?
Q:
Would there work on a Weston vacuum sealer?
Answer: Thanks for your question.
Answer: No idea, but works great with foodsaver type. They all heat to seal...
Q:
Can we get customized-words printed on the nutri-lock vacuum sealer bags?
Answer: contact nutri-lock at www.nutrilockbags.com and ask them if it is possible to do so
Answer: I don't believe this seller offers anything like that.
Q:
Do these bags contain any phthalates or other plasticizers?
Q:
Will these work with a Cabelas vacuum sealer?
Answer: Hi, I use these on a Food Saver sealer. They have one smooth side, one "bumpy" side, and seal wonderfully. Food saver bags work with Cabela's sealers, so I'm sure these would work, too.
Answer: We don't have a Cabelas sealer so I'm not positive but we have used 2 different Food Saver models and they worked great!. Would deffinately recomment them.
Answer: These vacuum sealer bags are by far the best I have ever used and can be used in any vacuum sealer...hope this helps and the price is great ...I go with the quart size individual bags ... didn't go with the rolls since it is a pain to close one end before filling and these are a very practical size.....
Q:
Are they phthalate free?
Q:
Do they sell smallerother sizes or is this the only size?
Answer: Thanks for the question.
Q:
Are these BPA free?
Answer: not sure
Q:
Do these work with that little hand pump?
Answer: These work with vacuum sealer units only, not with hand pumps.
Q:
Where are these bags manufactured?
Answer: Thank you for the question.
Answer: China (made to US standards!)
Answer: i do not know but they work great
Q:
This work with handheld vacuum sealer?
Answer: Sorry, I have no idea about handheld.
Answer: Great size and very durable bags.
Answer: I have no idea ask the manufacturer
Q:
I'm having trouble vacuum sealing the pint size bags, the quart work fine. Any one have some info on this?
Answer: I did too so I turned the bag around and it sealed fine
Q:
Can you smell the food like fish etc?
Answer: No. Once air is out of bag and the bag is sealed, I have not noticed any smells.
Answer: We have not used these yet, but we have used different brands of bags for our seal-a-meal, never having odors in our freezer from fish or etc.
Answer: Absolutely not. We used these bags for alligator (smelly!) and venison so far. No smell! We love this product and have shared the info with many friends. Far as I know 3 friends have bought them also and are pleased
Answer: As long as you freeze it fresh and use these bags correctly you will not smell anything in your freezer. When I’m doubt double bags
Q:
what are the dimensions of the individual unused bags ?
Answer: All the different size Nutri-Lock Vacuum Sealer Bags we bought don't seal properly. I thought our sealer had gone bad until I used other bags and they worked fine. Avoid these bags.
Q:
Can I cook in these bags as well?
Answer: I never have, they say you can. I bought the roll, not the bags. Not sure if there's a difference, but the material is textured on one side, clear on the other. The clear side tears very easily and I don't think I'd trust them for cooking. Also, with the roll material, I have to double seal them so they are actually sealed.
Q:
Will these bags work with a vacmaster pro350?
Answer: Yes, a bag is a bag.
Product reviews of Nutri-Lock Vacuum Sealer Bags. 100 Quart Bags 8x12 Inch. Commercial Grade Food Saver Bags. Works with FoodSaver and Sous Vide. BPA Free.
simmons derek j : Hands down best deal for the quality
Yep, these work great.
I use these for bulk purchases and sous vide; work great for both.
They are slightly thinner than food saver brand bags I've used in the past, but they are MORE than adequate and I will be using these regularly for now on.
They fit about 4 large chicken breasts safely, I could probably fit 5.
The picture has 3 chicken breasts in it.
Cathleen F. : Great product AWESOME price
We buy meat when it is on sale, we like wood grilled and smoked, when we fire up the grill or smoker we make the most of it, generally 40 to 100 lbs of meat at a time. Vac and seal in meat to feed 2. "great for portion control" got a freezer full of leg quarters, boneless breasts and thighs, pork chops, smoked and baked turkey, bags of chili. and great for home grown veggies too. way better than store bought frozen food and way less expensive. These bags are higher quality and lower price than what you get in the store.
S&M : Fresh......
These work as should, I don't know what more to say. If you use a vac-u-seal, then you know the cheap and the better way to do so. These are the good way of doing just that, I can even cut and make 2 bags from one if I need. Good buy for the price, would recommend to other's.
Captain Howdy : Awesome Value, Works Perfectly
I've been ordering these for about 2-3 years now. We use these bags almost exclusively for food storage. Especially cheeses and frozen items. They work perfectly and are a great value.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have trouble with your Food Saver or similar vacuum sealer you have to place the TEXTURED/ROUGH SIDE DOWN when using these. When I first started using our Food Saver I thought the bags were defective every once in a while but then I... you know... RTFM... and they work perfectly every time now :D
brad35 : Vacuum Freezer Bags that work
This is the second time I have ordered these bags. I can purchase in bulk and separate them into smaller portions and vacuum freeze.
Tom : They didn't work for me !
Purchased 300 of these bags because we each had a couple hundred pounds of venison sausage to process. We had some bags left over from a different purchase and a couple of rolls of bags as well. After all the meat was ground, mixed and stuffed the vacuum seal crew went to work with three different $200 vacuum sealers. These bags would not work in any of our machines. We tried many different ways and many different bags. So at the last minute we had to make bags by cutting and sealing each one from rolls. I was furious to say the least.
Maybe some people get good bags and others don't. Who knows... The ones I received seemed to be made of a slightly less flexible plastic. The plastic seemed harder...
David J. Huber : They vacuum tight and seal perfectly - but I'm only one week into using them.
I've only used five bags so far - using with a FoodSaver2000 - and they have worked as wonderfully and perfectly as the FoodSaver brand bags and the Ziploc bags I've used already. They are a good thickness, they vacuum up well, and the seals are quite tight.
I did my first bag just a week ago, so time will tell how they hold up now that they're in the freezer, but my initial impression is one of satisfaction at the quality, and even more satisfaction at the quality/$. As you probably know, the name brand bags are quite expensive, so I'm finding that having a much cheaper option makes freezing food even more cost-effective.
If anything changes, I'll come back and add a note here. If you don't see any additions to this review below, then you know I'm still satisfied.
CM : Hit or miss with quality.
Most bags seal ok, about 10%-15% do not. It’s not the heat seal that fails, it’s apparently microscopic holes in the textured portion of the bags that leak, albeit very very slowly. If the bags won’t vacuum seal your food straight out of the package, I suggest you use a scissors and cut off about 1/4”-1/2” of the bag at the end you’re trying to vacuum seal. This has, so far, worked every time for me when the bag would not vacuum seal right away. The first time I bought these bags all 100 of them worked flawlessly, the second batch I bought had the issues I addressed above. I have a Geryon vacuum sealer.
Michael Reling : like 4 rolls of 8 1/2 inch and the 11 ...
If I could pick no stars, i would. I made 2 separate orders for these bags, on 2 different sizes. I now have 8- 50 foot bags of worthless vacuum bags. 95 % of these bags did not even hold a vacuum. I not only bought the 100 quart boxed bags, but I ordered the separate bags in the 50 foot rolls, like 4 rolls of 8 1/2 inch and the 11 1/2 inch rolls.. Now I have 8 rolls of sh-- that I can not use. I have 2 vacuum machines. One is the kitchen model and the other is a semi commercial unit. I have most likely vacuumed packed a 1000 pounds of fish and wild game in the last couple of years. I have never had any problems with "Food Saver" products. They are 4 mil's thick and this sh-- is only 3 mils thick, even though they advertise that they are 4 mils thick. Food Saver marks all of their rolls with a production number, in case of a quality control problem. This crappy company has not markings on their rolls. This tells me they have no quality control assurance. This obviously applies to the crap that I bought, because i just threw it all out into the trash can. I can't even make Halloween decor out of it. And to compound it even worse, this is the 4th response to the company, and not even one idiot has responded to my emails.
So, I am going to notify my hunting and fishing club members (approx 200) not to ever even think about ordering this product to package their fish and wild game.
Nutri-Lock- you need to take a serious look at your customer service department. I am not going to miss you. I am now going to order all the replacement "Food Saver" bags to cover all the crap of yours that I just threw out. Just in case you wanna know, this is going to be a $400 order.
My gain, and your LOSS!!!
Awakened Heart : Great Price/Value Product
We've ordered these several times to use with our vaccuum sealing unit. They are strong and hold up well in the freezer providing great value for the price. We will continue to purchase them when needed.
Richard L : these are the worse bags I have ever purchased
these are the worse bags I have ever purchased. When I received them I noticed they were curled up width-wise. I thought that maybe they would eventually smooth out but they haven't. I just finished using them on some food and had to keep cutting the end of the bag to get a good seal. The bags keep curling when I try to seal them and wrinkle causing a bad seal.
Alejandra Felix : Excelente tamaño y cantidad por el precio, vale la pena
Me gustó la calidad y el tamaño es bastante grande , no a lo ancho pero si de altura muy bien precio y muy buena calidad, lo utilicé para guardar carnes
Rob : Super great vacuum bags
These bags are very thick and easy to work with, I have tried an old well known brand and they failed. I have a commercial machine an these bags work super good in it. Great value too. Will always purchase these nutri lock bags no other bag will compare with cost ,quality, materials used. Thank you for a great product

Matthew D Markowski : Great quality, Great Price for bulk quantity
Recently bought a Nutri Chef vacuum sealer. I hate the roll of bags, even though it's cost efficient and not much hassle. These bags are great. Might even seal better than the ones that came with the machine. Of course if there's excess, I just trim it. I will be using and suggesting Nutri-Lock bags for the life of my vacuum sealer and beyond.
ArtingInMuhPJs : Great bags!
These arrived in good time. I've used many and every one has sealed and held its seal. I'm using them mostly for freezing meals, herbs, bone-in meats, etc. I really appreciate the 4 mil thickness when it comes to the bones. The herbs taste as fresh as the day they were picked. I'll certainly be a repeat customer.
P.S. I freeze my meals in single portions and find these "pint" sized bags to be really generously sized. I haven't measured but I have pint ziplocs and these Nutri-Lock pints can hold about 3 of them.
Sithia Hing : Bags leak air and let air back in after several hrs!
I bought this product because I bought a smaller 50 pack several weeks ago from the same seller, and they worked very good. However the new 100 pack that I received must have not been from the same manufacturer because the texture was slightly different and there was no notch on the end where you can tear the bags open.
I used these new sealer bags to seal sausages, and they initially seal very tight, however when left overnight you can see that air leaked back through either the seal or the back of the bag that has the textured feel to it. That side feels very thin, and I suspect that is where air is leaking back through the bag.
I thought maybe it was a problem with the vacuum sealer or the seal that the machine made, so I tried the same thing, except I double heat sealed it this time. However that didn’t fix the issue and the packages still had air in them the following day.
You can see in the photos that air has leaked back in. Several hours before the pics were taken, there was an air-tight seal on these bags. This is extremely disappointing as I still have about 90 bags left that are useless.
It’s discouraging because there are so many options out there and I thought I found a quality product, however the seller needs to do some QC on these, as they seem to come from differing manufacturers and some do not work as well as others. I will have to look for a new brand now.
Richerlyn : Love these bags. Great product
This is the second time I have ordered these bags. I really like them. They come sealed on three sides so they fit my vacuum sealer perfectly. I just put everything from left over soup to steaks in them vacuum seal the top and food stays in the refrigerator or freezer. They last for a long time. I have open a package of cheese then sealed it up in these bags then been able to open the bag to fresh cheese 2 months later. I love this product.
LoveMailOrder : Perfect seal 95% of the time
Much better than the rolls of sealing plastic. While the seal does occasionally fail I can reposition bag and redo it.

Barnes : Stuff Happens, but Life Goes On
I was under the impression that I would receive 50 pint size and 50 quart size bags. When the package arrived, I noticed it looked a little skimpy so I counted the bags. Sure enough, There were only 40 quart bags and 30 pint bags. I tried, to no avail, to contact the seller. It isn't worth the effort to return but I know NOT to use this seller in the future.
Sylvia Taylor : that the suction works
the bags worked just like the more expensive ones do have used several times already and especially liked the pint size ones for small food will order more when in need thank you one order was for me the other order for my daughter she said she was very happy with this product
Cynthia D. Busic-Snyder : Great for smaller servings
We seldom use these small bags, but they are useful for freezing a couple of servings. We found that making your own small bags from the rolls is time-consuming and often wasteful.
Sithia Hing : Bags leak air and let air back in after several hrs!

m. : Exactly as description listed
first time purchasing this brand and was very pleased. some plastic bags have a funny smell and these are great. no smell. I have frozen food in them, cooked in microwave and boiled in a pot of water. they hold up well & worked great in my food saver. I will purchase from them again. Also I loved that I was able to get 100 bags - 50 quart & 50 pint. great value for the $$$. Happy Happy Happy :)
Leah Randall : Going back to Food Saver brand... or even Walmart’s Mainstays brand!
We’ve gone through half of this package (50 bags used) and so far 45% of the bags failed to vacuum seal. They are thin, and obviously have a tiny hole (or holes) somewhere that prevents my high-end vacuum sealer from sucking out the air. We are not novices (bought our first vacuum sealer 2 decades ago!) and these are absolutely the most dissatisfactory bags we’ve ever purchased. I purchased 200 quart bags, 100 gallon bags PLUS the multi-size pack and I think I’ll be VERY fortunate if 50% of them are useable. I hope this is just one defective package and that the others perform better. Still... never buying Nutri-Lock again.
Michael : Great bags at a great price.
Great bags at a great price. They work awesome in my VacMaster chamber vacuum sealer so I ordered more.
Recommend seller to all and was fast shipping.

Jimmy O. : These bags work good
I really like these bags. I havent had any problems with them not holding a seal. I think some people just mess up on there on and blame the products some of time. I will be ordering these again when i run out and also going to order some differant sizes in the same brand now that i know these are good
Irene : Quality bags for a great price
This is exactly what I needed for my vacuum sealer. I love how one side is already sealed. Out of all the choices for these bags, these are the ones I highly recommend. I wouldn't choose any other ones than these.
rusty : frozen food to table takes about 10 minutes to boil in the bag
I just love the machine, I had purchased the roll but like the premade bags better.
Left overs are great, breads stay fresh. I just figured out I can manual take out as much air as I want and not crush bread. Before I have crushed the bread or rolls so flat but they popped right back up.
I love this and YES GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. I have a freezer fill with single serving meals. Its onlymy husband and I so if we both want something different., bothe meals can be put in the boiling water.
NO FUSS, NO MESS TO CLEAN UP EXCELLENT
Trouty : Super Frustrating
This may be one of the most frustrating purchase I’ve ever made on Amazon. I’d say about 25-30% of these bags wouldn’t seal. Then I take it out of the sealer, trim the end, and about half the time that fixes it. Or maybe I need to trim it AGAIN. Huge pain in the @$$. When I use my machine, I’m usually doing 5-10 bags at a time. So when it doesn’t work, it’s extremely irritating.
Cheap? Yep. Worth the frustration? Nope. The name-brand works 100% of the time, so that’s what I’m sticking with. Too bad, I use my sealer all the time and this would have saved me a ton of $.
Dirk L. Sumter : Works well for the price
The pre-cut bags work well with my Food Saver vacuum sealer. Saves time when you've got 3 deer to process. A great value and was shipped extremely quick... Highly recommended!! A+
Buckblaster : Don't hold seal
I'm one of the unlucky ones. When sealing packages of sausages, the first bag had air in it 30 seconds after sealing, so I cut it open and sealed in a new bag but with the same results. The seal lines looks good, so the bags seem to be leaking around the edges somewhere. I switched bags and resealed 5 times before I got one to hold the vacuum. Then I repeated the same scenario with the next pack of sausages until I got tired of wasting my time with these and threw the whole pack of bags away. I ordered another type from Amazon and I hope they will work when I get them.
Omegaman9651 : Vacuum Sealer bags keep the Air out.
I finally got to use some of these bags packaging 15 pounds of ground beef that I made. I like to grind my own beef and freeze it. It's much cheaper, fresher & has less fat. Vacuum sealing the beef allows me to store it up to 18 months & enjoy a product as fresh as when I ground and froze it. The bags seem to be comparable in quality to actual Food-saver bags and are considerably less expensive. The textured panel adequately allows for complete air evacuation resulting in a very good vacuum seal. My order met "Free Shipping" criteria and shipping speed was ahead of schedule. I would buy this product again.
alfonskat : A Good Bag That Could Be Thicker
To reiterate my Headline, I've defrosted so many items that were frozen in these bags - particularly luncheon meat items and when defrosted in the bag, found them to be soaked with condensate. I have to put the meat in paper towels to squeeze out the water. When I went on Google and YouTube to find out what's going on I got an answer that surprised me and that was to double bag the vacuumed sealed bags of meat products to help avoid this problem. But as memory serves, when using the Food Saver Brand, very expensive bags, I didn't have this problem. I'm thinking now that after a little more time to try out that double bag technique I may have to go back to Food Saver's thicker bags because if I have to use 2 of these they won't be a bargain anymore.
CTCraftBrew : Quite Decent
My previous batch was from restaurant supply. Those were cheaper but the shipping was ridiculous.
At first use, these appear to be of higher quality. I did happen to drop one sealed bag and it lost the vacuum, but hopefully that was just my clumsiness. I use these for freezer storage and sous vide.
susank8 : Better than expected
I had reservations about ordering these but figured they wouldn't be much of a loss if they didn't work out. I seal every possible thing I put in my freezer and these bags have been perfect. They are a generous quart size and seal perfectly every time (I do double~seal every bag). I will order these bags again for sure as they are every bit as good as the branded bags.
Sariah : Good bags and great customer care!
Hi,
So we tried your bags today on our food saver and it worked perfectly. My husband and I agree that the quality is a bit better than the original food saver bags. We are completely satisfied and look forward to purchasing more from you when we run out of bags.
Thank you for following up with us. It shows that you are truly concerned about your customer's satisfaction. :)
Have a great day!
Jim Wyant : Bags work great, good seal
These bags work very well and seal well. I had no problems with them sealing even if I cut them a little shorter in length. I would highly recommend.

Alyssa K. : Won't buy again
Don't vacuum 75% of the time. Tried 3 different machines and they don't work 3 out of 4 times. They don't have enough texture. And they are much more crunchy than our usual bags and crack if you fold the bags. We vaccum seal all of our pork/deer/dumplings/everything so we know what we are doing. These just suck (actually they don't suck and that is the problem). Tried to save money now we have 7 hogs hanging and I'm running over to the butcher supply 3 towns over
rscearcy : I like these bags. A lot.
I really enjoy these bags for my sous vide. Because of the quart size, they're perfect for steak, fish, chicken and other single or small portions. I also have the rolls that come for use in a vacuum sealer. But, I normally use my vacuum sealer when I'm preparing for storage of items. When I sous vide fresh meats or veggies, I just grab one of these bags and clip it to whatever container I'm using for my sous vide and use the water displacement method to expel the air from the bag. I'll still use the rolls for use in my vacuum sealer, but for cooking fresh items, I'm going to stick to these bags.
But, don't get me wrong. These bags will vacuum seal quite well. I've used them a few times for storage and I have no complaints. They hold the seal well and are quite strong. And, you only have to make one seal instead of two.
CindyB : Great quality and quantity bags A+++
These bags are great I would always buy other brand of bags that had numerous reviews but I decided too a chance and go with this brand even though there wasn’t one review):bottom line it was because the quantity was 200 and oh yeah I am happy because the quality is just as great as the high end brand. So if u are looking for quality and quality look no further your search should end here unless you are a typical pain in d ass ???????? I like that it’s huge and it works well for my long term freezing needs of meat, fish etc. good luck u wouldn’t be disappointed!
chunke : A waste of my money!
Very disappointed. Have used this brand before. This time the gallon bags were not completely sealed along the side seams. Threw first few bags away thinking maybe just a few . Found first five to be that way. Do not have time to go thru all of them. Pretty upset since I had started to work on sealing some oats. Will never buy this brand again!

I have a new FoodSaver V2244 machine and was looking for inexpensive bags to use.
I tried twice to vacuum seal a grape as a test. In both cases the vacuum seal created by
the machine failed and vacuum was gone within 15 seconds. Vacuum sealed another
grape using a FoodSaver bag and it's still under vacuum and sealed the next day.
I've sent these back.......
