The Fitec GS-1000 Ultra Spreader Cast net with Insoluble Tape is made of clear mono netting and is designed for deep water targets. The netting has superior strength with real lead weights and a six-panel design. The tape is attached to the outside edge of the net and acts as an air foil to keep the net open longer. The included Comfort Cuff reduces chafing on the throwing wrist. A high floating 50-foot long braided polyethylene hand line with triple-tied lead line ensures quality bait catch every throw.

I use for shrimp in about 20+ feet of water. Throws good, catches anything down there that won't fit through the 1/2" mesh. The tape definitely helps keep the net open as it settles. I must for deep shrimp. The bucket is just big enough to store the net between uses with the lid on.

I purchased this item in April 2014 and didn't use it until June 2014 when the weather was warmer. It felt like a good quality product and worked as adertised. The tape on the bottom does help the net spread. I use it in the Bay where the water is salty to brackish. I'm very careful with my nets and I rinse it with fresh water after every use. I also hang dry it in my garage before putting it away until next use. Sadly, after about 10 uses the tape on the bottom is unraveling and is useless now. I can't find any warranty information anywhere.
