Can it be installed while the stand is up? Or will I have to tip the stand down to install?

Answer: It can be installed while up i just put mine on last week works fine

Is this a silent material, or does it make a lot of noise when the wind blows against it?

Answer: Very quiet and makes no noise. It's not a very heavy material but does the job!

would this make a good wind break for a tree stand

Answer: Not really. While I absolutely love the stand itself, I was very disappointed with the quality of this blind. After being up only one week most of the ties that attach the bottom of the blind to the stand tore off from the wind. I had to sew them all back on. After doing that I guess it works alright. I just felt for the price the quality should have been better.

Answer: I have two of these, I’m sure it helps some, but the upper half of your body is still exposed to the wind. Their primary purpose is to conceal movement and break-up your outline. However, I guess I’d say it’s better than nothing regarding the wind.

Purchased the kit but may not actually use it right away as you need to mount it to a tree stand and climb up under is to reach the ladder stand seat which is a bit cumbersome larger frame person. Otherwise, great item for more agile individuals.

Instructions are weak, had to look at the picture a few times when there were no written instructions or the written instructions did not work. Else, good product. Sturdy on tree. Platform is too small for bow hunting, can't stand up with the seat down. Platform good for gun hunting. Seat needed a few modifications but then very stable also.

I am very disappointed in this one. It slips over the rail so things need to be taken apart. Once it is on you can not raise the rail if necessary. And I never had one that made so much noise!!! Obviously who ever designed this is Not a Hunter.

I didn’t take other people’s advice, and took a chance on this. You might as well be waving your hands in the air while screaming. Terrible. At least I now have a template to make a new one out of better material.

I purchased two of these blinds for my TOTL/BE/HE 2 person X Stand Jayhawk ladder stands. I assumed they would match the quality of the stands. Unfortunately, these are subject line in the cold or wind. C'mon, test your products. Hint: deer hunters don't want noisy gear. Oh, and the POS zipper broke the first use.
