My scale only goes from 20lb to 64.5lb is there a way I can troubleshoot it

Does anyone know the accuracy of the 15lb vs 50lb versions of the Rapala scales? If the 50lb is just as accurate for small weights why get the 15lb?

Answer: Hi Henry, I have been using the 50 Lbs for a few years now and its accuracy is fairly precise. Have had no issues with it, great product. You may be off by an ounce or two from the 15 lbs one, but unless you are in heavy tournaments, get the 50 lbs one.

Answer: I've had the 50 for a long time and it's always exactly what the certified weigh in scales say at tournaments. Unless you'll never need more than 15 pounds I can't see why one wouldn't go ahead and get the fifty. They are very accurate.

Is the lip clip pictured on the scale the actual clip? Everywhere else with this scale for sale shows a different clip

Answer: I got two. One is the squeeze clip and the other is the hook.

What kind of warranty do these have.

Answer: Rapala warranties are for one year

Answer: Don’t bother calling Rapala for warranty or any other questions for the matter. They never answer the phone for customer support issues. Very frustrating dealing with that company off of amazon.

Is the spring loaded clip designed to attach to the fishes mouth or a weigh bag?

Answer: I think it is meant to clip on the fishes mouth but you can use it on a weigh bag too.

Answer: Sorry I don't know. Scale works great!

Does this system come with the eight piece culling system like the other set does?

Answer: No culling balls. Just scale. Works excellent. Very accurate.

The best scale I've ever owned, I love being able to store the weight of my previous catches. This scale includes a stainless steel hook, however I prefer the already attached clamp.

Update: After getting the scale wet while out kayak fishing the scale failed to work properly, this is very disappointing, a fish scale that is going to be used around water should be waterproof. The last thing a fishermen should be worried about is getting his fishing scale wet...

Like the ease of use for this scale ... Easy to learn and easy to use ... I would give it five stars but for the clip used to hold the fish ... It worked great for the 15# Striper we caught yesterday but the clip would not fit around the bottom jaw bone of the 27# Striper we caught yesterday ... tried the use the clip on the top jaw bone and it wasn't strong enough to hold the fish so we could weigh her ... So we sat in suspense all day until the tournament weigh-in where she could be weighed using certified scales ... we will definitely be looking for a larger hook to use in the event the clip won't hold

This was a Christmas gift for my husband who is an avid Bass fisherman. He did a lot of research and decided on The Rapla touch screen 50lb scale.
He had to try it out right away and hit the lake 12/31 in the crazy Oklahoma weather, his only complaint was the sound control. The touch screen feature didn’t seem to work for the volume but other then that he was impressed with its durability and accuracy!

Please learn from my mistake! Save your money. I purchased this product because it was the most expensive on amazon with decent reviews. I was hoping expensive meant quality. I was severely wrong. Unit didn’t work properly out of the box. None of the advertised feature worked. Touchscreen would freeze up and stop working after a few minutes of use. Only way to fix, was to remove the battery’s and start over. Problem continued every time it’s was reset. However, my biggest complaint of all. I called the company Rapala to speak with a customer support representative for advice. They never answered the phone day after day, never called back, goes to voice mail every time. A company that doesn’t support there products or customers That’s all I need to know. FYI Amazon made the return process very simple and hassle free. I was relieved with that. Don’t recommend! Good luck.
