How large is this set? Are these regular size, such as for car camping? Or are they small, much more for backpacking?

Answer: They are perfect for camping.. I'm not sure what you consider the difference of between backpacking and car camping but they're perfect for camping in general as far as I'm concerned. We take them with us we camp in a tent perfect for just my husband and I.

Answer: This is a smaller set. more for backpacking than anything.

Answer: For myself, I would rate it a backpacking set for two people.

Do pot & pan have lids?

Do these nest together?

Answer: Yes, it all nests together. Stores in a net bag. Set not big enough for a family of five, but fine for two or three people.

Es un set de cocina para dos personas apto para campismo/montañismo bastante completo con las siguientes características:

Para montañismo puedes seleccionar entre usar la tetera o no y en su lugar meter otras cosa al interior para aprovechar el espacio, reitero que no es un kit para una sola persona, ya que en estricto sentido cargarías mas de lo que realmente usarías.

Para campismo y senderismo es un equipo adecuado ya que es de bajo peso y pequeñas dimensiones como se aprecia en las fotografías. En tu mochila cabrá perfectamente, sin embargo es importante colocarlo en la parte media o alta de la mochila, ya que al ser de aluminio si se coloca en la parte baja podrá dañarse fácilmente cada vez que bajes la mochila.
Las dos tazas que trae tienen una capacidad pequeña que mantienen caliente o fría de forma adecuada las bebidas considerando que es de aluminio, sus asas son de metal y tienden a calentarse si se ponen en contacto directo con el fuego.
La tetera tiene una capacidad para servir unas seis tacitas de agua, esta bien diseñada y su tapa cierra ligeramente a presión. El asa tiene un seguro que le ayuda a mantenerse vertical durante su uso y con ello evitar que pegue con el fuego directo.
Trae un sartén acanalado que sirve para asar carnes y uno liso para verduras, pastas, etc.
La cacerola tiene una profundidad adecuada para que puedas preparar una sopa, esta no trae tapa para evitar peso adicional (el kit esta pensado para preparar el alimento, consumirlo y lavar tus utensilios, y no para almacenar por largo tiempo los alimentos, es por ello que no tiene tapa.)
Tiene un sartén con asa similar a la de las tazas, este es liso para freír o asar verduras, la única diferencia es que en su base tiene esmerilado círculos sobre la superficie con la finalidad de optimizar la captación del calor e irradiarlo de forma mas eficiente en la superficie.
Las pinzas que trae son livianas y puedes levantar cualquiera de los sartenes y cacerolas del kit cada vez que quieras retirarlo del fuego.

Con el tiempo y uso es evidente que el aluminio perderá su recubrimiento gris (anodizado) por lo que tendera a verse descarapelado con los golpes y rayones de uso.

En resumen: Es un kit caro pero vale la pena, ya que no hay otro tan completo como este y con el grado de calidad que pude observar. Esta fabricado en china, sin embargo la marca responsable de su comercialización (NDUR) es una marca norteamericana pequeña que tiene presencia en el mercado de caza y pesa en USA y por tanto ellos respaldan la calidad del producto (lo revisan antes de comercializarlo).

Nota:
Tendrás que comprar platos y cubiertos, ya que el kit no los contiene, sugiero adquieran de silicona compresible.
En cuanto a cucharas surgiero usar de madera o bambú con mango recortado para evitar daño a la superficie de las cacerolas, o en su defecto de silicona.

I was looking for a cookware set that came with a kettle and did not have a Teflon coating. Surprisingly hard order to fulfill, apparently! Thankfully this set satisfied both of my conditions. The anodized coating was not necessary, but admittedly did make for easy cleanup. This set was enough for two people for 9 days in the bush, but I think you'd need more plates if you had more people. My only gripe was the size of the cups. You could fit a shot of espresso in them and not much more, they were kind of useless. Thankfully I noticed that before my trip and just left them at home, opting to supplant with some larger coffee cups from an older set I had. I had to pack them seperate from the nest, but I was alright with that.
