Answer: It weighs about 51/2 ounces,146 grams. It is solid and we'll made.and you could probably knock a few heads with it but, I would not want to rely on it for home defence.

Answer: This isn't for home defense. It is too small and lightweight. It's made for knocking small fish in the head to dispose of them. It won't work well with large fish so I think you would just piss off a human whose intent is to do you harm.

Answer: No,much to light for self defence

Answer: I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it definitely has some heft to it. It would do some damage to an intruder, but consider how close you would have to be in order to do that damage - the product is several inches long, and you would be near enough to an intruder that if they too were armed, it might be dangerous for you to defend yourself with the product IMHO.

Very compact fish club! I thought it would be a hollow, aluminum club, but it actually feels like solid aluminum. The description says it recommends use for fish up to 40cm. However, I am an avid salmon fisherman in Alaska, and would trust this club to stun a 48in (122cm) Chinook salmon. Very pleased with this purchase!

I was enjoying a nice spring day by fishing in a local river, minding my own business, when I am approached by a strange man from the reeds to my right. He starts asking me about if I've caught anything, to which I replied "I've caught a whiff of you pal!" I swung my Maxcatch bat as hard as I could and knocked the Richard Nixon mask right off it's dumb trout face!

And that is how I caught a 200lb, 6ft, talking trout in the early weeks of spring, 2017. I don't like thinking about what would have happened if I didn't have my Maxcatch fishing bat.

This is a great product. Super heavy. Great Quality, Easy to Handle. It is great for self protection and for women, it could be easily used as well, perhaps will fit into larger purse styles. For men, can easily slide into pant loop or attach to the hooks designed to pull apart when needed.

Bought this to try to use for work as a tire thumper. Wanted something kind of like a mini bat that looked cool just to knock on a tire to make sure it’s not flat. This is not that. This is basically a toothpick in size. It’s as fragile as one too. I returned. Very misleading at the time for what I expected based on the description.

When I first looked I thought it was too small. However, its construction and weight are deceptive. I catch some pretty big fish and I am confident that I can deliver a pretty good "wack" to some of the WAHOO and Yellow Tails I have been snagging. Great product and well made. It is NOT hollow but solid metal.

I haven't used it yet but it seems well made and it's heavier on the end of the bat. Just tapping it on my hand tells me it won't take a hard hit to do the job. I would recommend this fish bat.
