Answer: There are two hooks, just like a normal crank bait. These aren't all that well made but they'll work if you tune them and work on them a little.

Does it work?

Answer: The paint is generic. Looks printed and wrapped. Clear coat makes it very heavy which helps with the long cast, but lacks movement when retrieving. I've never caught anything on the ones I purchased, which were suspended jerk baits. Rapala works 110% better. I live in Minnesota. And used the lures said in this comment on the St. Croix river, Leech Lake, Milacs and Lake Minnetonka. Haven't caught anything on any of those bodies of water. Haven't tried the crankbaits. But won't be surprised if it doesn't wobble good like most major brands on the market, like Strike King, and Mega bass. Happy hunting. Tight Lines!

On the same note though, a slower retrieve and holding rod tip high will keep it from diving deep so i guess it really depends on your target depth and finding that right finesse to achieve it.

Answer: The kit i bought was the square-lipped shallow running (3-5 ft) lures. I've only used them for freshwater bass fishing & I can tell you, after multiple outings, that they do CATCH fish. Can they catch ocean fish? Yes, depending on the size, depth, etc of the ocean fish. You may have to use stronger hooks though.

I bought the crankbait set to fill in my mid sized lure selection, these lures are basic plastic crankbaits (like 100's of other's out there), but have a great looking realistic pattern applied to them... All of them ran ok out of the box, only minor tuning was needed.
The perch and sunfish patterns have worked for me so far, catching a few Largemouth bass, and Gar.
If your looking for a set of mid sized crankbaits to fill out your box this is a good set to do that.

OK, I think it is odd that a crank bait with a bill that size sinks. Usually they float and than dive as you retrieve them. not these they sink like a rock and then dive on top of that. I went back and looked at the description and no mention of the buoyancy either way so shame on me for assuming. Also found that the action seems less than aggressive for a lure with a bill that makes up a third of the length. It does wobble but you need to retrieve at a good pace to get it started. Overall the behavior is a 2 star but the finish is 4 star.

These were JUST opened. I was about to set the eyes and realized that literally all of them were already chipped. These are BEAUTIFULLY and realistically painted but it seems the last step is missing which would turn this into a 5 star (pending swimming action). Debating returning or paying to clear coat these myself.

Paint jobs were very detailed and life like patterns.however paint had no top coat, or sealant, or clear coating. Four of six were chipped and scuffed. After touching them up, sealing them, and tuning they do catch fish. Needs bigger packaging and buffers for the bouncing and who knows what else they go thru.

After reading other reviews and my wallet running for the hills after seeing prices of replacement crank-baits in the local tackle shop I figured I'd give these a shot. These are great. They look and perform fantastically. If you need deep divers as I did for the overly warm summer waters these will do the trick - even if 2 were unusable out of the box I'd still buy them - they weren't though, all look and function great. I've probably caught 6-8 large mouth on these - particularly the white and black one. Hooks are sharp and strong, as mentioned one of them has been thoroughly tested. Even got one of them snagged in my bow line and managed to pull it out without bending or damaging it.

I'll happily buy from wlure in the future. If I didn't already have a good selection of jerk-baits I'd be buying a box of those too.

Took these to Canada for my boat buddy who is a "new" fisherman for back up-those rock bottoms eat baits! Turns out he never got to use them, handed him my rapalas instead. These lil baits burned my buddies up everyday at half the cost. I was using the square bill "natural" looking ones, had fantastic action, swim straight, no need to speed these to get the action tight. Not often Im surprised with a discount item but these did.

I have caught a ton of fish on these baits. They are my go to lures when nothing else works. They don't hang up on the weeds. If you bump something wait a second and they float up and you can start reeling again. I highly recommend them.

Bought these for a vacation back homeawhile ago in ME. Tried the lipless stick bait type this fall this year 2020 as well and same result. Grabbed several 2-5 pound pike and a largemouth first trip out. The more subtle natural colors worked awesome in cold late season Maine and caught fish in every spot my brother and I tried. At least until a couple pike cut them off. Great Value for money.
