Answer: Medium or heavier action rod, 10+ lb line on a spinner of baitcaster is my recommendation. I prefer to sling them on my medium-heavy 12-17lb 7ft baitcaster setup with 30lb braid and a 20lb leader.

I got this kit on a lightning deal. Overall they're pretty good baits. It could use a bit tighter seals around the legs/tassels. I had to squeeze water out every couple of casts to keep them floating. I've had some strikes on the one with legs and the one with a carbon fiber look, but haven't landed anything yet. I'll try them some more this upcoming season.

I have been looking for some fishing lures I do not have right now. And I found this 15 pcs Soft Frog Lures, 2/4 Legged Frogs - Kicking Legs, Hook Slot. I am very organized when It comes to my lures. That is what caught my eyes. I bought this lure set and it came with a plastic case with 5 slots to keep the colors organized. Most of the ones you buy come in a plastic bag, which is NOT good for me and my OCD. The kit comes with three different colors (dark gray with light gray belly, dark green belly and back, dark green and light green belly). They also are easy to place on the hook. I am excited to see how this lure reacts to the water when casting.

The hooks, weights, and lures were in good condition when shipped in. The hooks aren't super durable but they'll do and it's still a great deal for the price. However, the container they came in was broken during shipping. The backside broke off so the materials (weights and hooks) fell out. I had to throw out the container but thankfully I bought a tackle box separately with other containers to put them in.

I plan to give these to my dad as a Father's Day present. Since he has recently retired, and has always loved fishing, I thought this might help get him out of the house more this spring/summer. I've fished all my life and can say that these are pretty sound in quality and made with a certain materials that really makes them lively. The loop that is attached to the lure is small but attached well so you don't have to worry about losing it on a snag. The hooks are close to the lures so when you get a bite, as long as the fish chomps down, it will definitely hook. They are chrome colored which will add enough shine to not scare away fish.

This is a great frog lure for any bass fisherman. The color is very natural and realistic, and there are many different colors and styles to choose from. It comes in a simple package and was in good condition. It is well weighted and floats perfectly. The presentation on your retrieve is very realistic. Topwaters are my favorite bass lure because they are so exciting to use, and this frog is no different. The hook sets very effectively on a good bite and I had no trouble bringing the lure through brush and right into the fish's mouth. I would recommend this lure for any angler that wants to fish thick cover.

I am not a fishing expert by any means, so I cannot attest to the quality or practicality of this set as expected at the purchase price. Pretty good frogs. A couple sink faster than others but not too bad. 3-4 casts worth and a squeeze gets them right on top again . Stinky plastic but the bass don’t seem to care. Hooks are plenty sharp. You can always boil them a bit before fishing and the plastic body will soften right up. Nice sharp hooks

Great quality soft frogs. They are all painted excellent and feel really high quality. If anything negative, the strings hanging from the backs are a bit long but can be cut to whatever length you desire with scissors. Great lures for the price, especially since you get 5 for about the price of 2.

These things stink, the claim if PVC should be PVA as "Acetate" odor is so prominent I'm trying to figure out how to remove it. The hooks are not aligned with the bodies and the are connected to a swivel thing that protrudes from the nose. $10 seems like a good deal till they arrive and you inspect and the smell hit you.

Just received the frogs today but the box that holds the frogs in is cracked and pieces of the plastic broke off.
Sort of disappointed since it stated that it would've arrived on Saturday 13th, but after I ordered the date changed and did not receive it until today (Sunday 14th).

Caught 3 big bass in lily pads in an hour pitching the white/lime green frog from this set! Casts well, pop water well and weighted in the rear so they sit with head up as they should. Only recommendation is to bend the hooks away from the body just a little—it allows for better hook sets. Great lures so far—happy with my purchase.

Just received these lures Sunday... First impressions.. They are small real small... The body of the frog did not sit straight on the hook... Each frog body was twisted to the right... With that said I tied one on and went out the next morning right away I knew these were a mistake ! These are supposed to be top water lures, I made my cast my phone rang when I returned to fishing the lure was on the bottom... Ok maybe I was on the phone to long... Next cast I watch the lure for the ripples on the water to disappear about ten seconds.. While doing that I watch the lure dive out of site..I understand over time they will fill with water and sink that's why you squeeze them out, but not before you can actually fish with them..! Tied another one on and sane thing... Nearest I can tell the only good thing about this set of lures is the box and you can get that at Walmart for five bucks ! Needles to say the next cast with these lures was in the trash ! Where they quickly sank to the bottom...

Clayton : Great frogs for the money!
I bought these because I was tired of buying those $8 lunker frogs and losing them. These are a great alternative and much, much cheaper. I tied one on, went outside and caught 2 bass from the 3 test casts I made. These seem to hook up better than most frogs as well!

What an awesome lure, the action and movement of the legs and the pop of the body and how it sits in the water it might as well be a live frog! I had one leg come off and I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement without batting an eye. As a registered Maine guide I am always looking to showcase products and get my clients the most success possible! Pickerel, bass and muskies slam these lures HARD!
Lokkstar : Hooks were crooked and narrow.
The frogs are decent. 5 for 13 bucks isn’t bad at all. I like the fact that you get a variety of frogs as well as different belly colors of the frog. My only complaint is the hooks. Some of my frogs had hooks that were not fitted to the frog’s body. Some were too narrow while others were crooked. Some people might have to bend the hooks to straighten them out for better hook ratio.

My frogs arrived on time and in great shape. The frogs were the ones in the description and are in a nice case. I fished 2 of them today and caught a couple of largemouth bass. The hooks are sharp and they walk well. I would recommend.

Just a quick edit here (5/1/18) Ordered these frogs again. I do not want to be with out them. Also I have a bad habit of fishing heavy mat with my FROGs on 20 lb braided line, I should be using 40 or 50 that I do have, but I like the extra distance I get with the 20, so sometimes I will get hung up in the pads with a fish on and break my line, that is on me, guess I am going to just have to get use to the heavy braid. As far as my Frogs go, nothing has changed since my first review below. If you Frog fish, get these. You will love them.

Sunday I also tossed a Booyah Pad Crasher and hung it on a log, it's gone. I love these Frogs from RUNCL, they work and easy on the wallet. Come in a nice stop top plastic box. If I loose one of these Frogs it's no big deal. Got 5 for 13 bucks.
I will purchase again, just so I have back up. The only difference I could tell between these and the high buck frogs was 1) the price 2) the RUNCL frogs don't have a cool name like THE LUNKER BUSTING PAD HOPPER.
Give these babies a shot, you will not be disappointed.

majohn : Colors are realistic.
I plan to give these to my dad as a Father's Day present. Since he has recently retired, and has always loved fishing, I thought this might help get him out of the house more this spring/summer. I've fished all my life and can say that these are pretty sound in quality and made with a certain materials that really makes them lively. The loop that is attached to the lure is small but attached well so you don't have to worry about losing it on a snag. The hooks are close to the lures so when you get a bite, as long as the fish chomps down, it will definitely hook. They are chrome colored which will add enough shine to not scare away fish.

I wish I never spent the money on these. Half of them sink and the others are malformed like the rubber was heated before they put them in the case. I only wish I could tell everyone this but the people that review it high will be the only reviews people will see.

CAT : Only one issue
So I love the way these look in the water and so far they seem to work great in my pond with the bass but one big issue. If they hit the water a certain way or get hit during reeling they fill with water and sink. I have to press the water out almost everytime I reel them in which is a real pain.

Really love this lure set. The design is so nice and the bag is small enough for me to carry it around with no problem. The quality looks pretty good too and I would definitely recommend it. Item is just as described and arrived on time.
musicman : The frog lures offer a good variety of color and they work well so far.
These frog lures are catching bass, especially around weed cover in our lake. The lures are well made, although I've only used them 3 times so far. All in all, a good purchase.

These frogs are a steal! They are well made and come in their own carrying case.
Ted Baker : Great for the price
These frogs are hard to beat for the price. They float well and catch bass, but not sure how durrable they wil be. If you want a different color belly, use scented markers. While the hooks are sharp, they are not as sturdy as on more expensive models, but I've landed bass to 6.25 lbs. and not bent them out. With these deals, I got 10 frogs for the price of 2 better brands. If you are fishing for hogs, use the sturdier brands, but these do work pretty well.

I picked the Green frog with the orange belly for no particular reason, tied it onto a short 17lb. fluorocarbon leader, and started casting onto the mats of weeds. I got a swirl on the third cast, couldn't get it to come back.
About 20 posolutely, abssitively, weed free casts later it disappeared into a big hole on the water, which turned out to be the jaws of a 4lb. largemouth, who left every piece of the "legs" entwined in the hooks.
I got all sorts of warm and fuzzy straightening it up afterward.
They do smell a little. No big thing. I washed mine in soap and water, then let them air dry, which reduced it. But I don't think most fish hitting frogs are that discriminating. If you are worried about the paint, use automobile soap.
Next, fluorocarbon sinks. This kicked the frog off-balance when it stops, then the nose pops up a few seconds later, even with a short leader.
Even though I'm fishing clear water, I think I'll go out this evening with it tied directly to my 30lb. braided line. One less knot is always a good thing. Braid floats, so the frog should come nose up quicker. The fish will tell me if the line bothers them.
I recommend a Palomar knot for this connection.
I could have spent far more on some Souperdooper Frogging Croaker, with a magic twanger, and Miss Piggy's endorsement, but hey, I'm happy, the fish are happy, and I've got some goodly change left over to blow on more fishing tackle.

Beat the heck out of it for a couple hours ...doesn't look like its been beat up!.
Only one has a yellowish bottom the others are white.

So far so good on these lures! they are very realistic looking so i have high hopes that the fish will think so too lol. They are high quality and i have tugged hard on a few hooks on ones i didn't forsee using for the type of fishing we do. The hooks stay tight! No stretch or tearing. I haven't been able to go out with them yet as the weather decided to flip and start snowing in march but i hope to get out and fully utilize them soon! I'll update it if i find any problems but my guess is they are going to work great!

So realistic that my 13 year old daughter could barely resist biting it. I handed it to her and she almost bit it before realizing that would be a bad idea. Have yet to catch a bass on one yet tho does seem to move well in the water and threw fairly heavy cover without snagging up too bad

Great to expose the young whipper snappers to lifting bucketmouths out of the thick grass. However, haven't caught a fish with one, but haven't used it yet either so there that, it might be unreal!

They seem to be good quality. I tried using them for a little while, but I didn’t have any weedless hooks.
I picked up some hooks, and plan to use these next time.

Blue1 : Save Your Money !!!
Just received these lures Sunday... First impressions.. They are small real small... The body of the frog did not sit straight on the hook... Each frog body was twisted to the right... With that said I tied one on and went out the next morning right away I knew these were a mistake ! These are supposed to be top water lures, I made my cast my phone rang when I returned to fishing the lure was on the bottom... Ok maybe I was on the phone to long... Next cast I watch the lure for the ripples on the water to disappear about ten seconds.. While doing that I watch the lure dive out of site..I understand over time they will fill with water and sink that's why you squeeze them out, but not before you can actually fish with them..! Tied another one on and sane thing... Nearest I can tell the only good thing about this set of lures is the box and you can get that at Walmart for five bucks ! Needles to say the next cast with these lures was in the trash ! Where they quickly sank to the bottom...
