Answer: Medium or heavier action rod, 10+ lb line on a spinner of baitcaster is my recommendation. I prefer to sling them on my medium-heavy 12-17lb 7ft baitcaster setup with 30lb braid and a 20lb leader.

Just received these today and I can already tell they are top quality. Another excellent product from an excellent company!

So far not very impressed. I purchased the popper set. First cast and 2 pops it started to sink. I fish with frogs all the time and I know they all take on water after a few casts but as soon as these hit the water they start taking on water. I'm going to try and seal up some of the openings and the weight cavity and see if that helps. The tops of the frogs are nice but as with a lot of hollow body frogs the bottoms are all white with one exception. I will update if things improve but right now the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is the price, tops colors and hooks seem to be pretty good.

Sealing the weight in it's cavity and the hook opening worked. They float now and a company representative has contacted me to address the issue which has caused me to raise the rating to 4 stars. Too many companys now a days don't seem to care but these guys do.

Really wanted to like these frogs because of Runcl's customer service but it is what it is. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3 is the company contacted me and offered replacemnts. If you fill in the hook opening in the belly and seal the weight in with silicone, they will then float but it can be messy if you're not careful.

Sealing the weight in it's cavity and the hook opening worked. They float now and a company representative has contacted me to address the issue which has caused me to raise the rating to 4 stars. Too many companys now a days don't seem to care but these guys do.

At first glance these frogs look great. But, I used one today. First first I caught with it, the frog was pretty much destroyed. The hooks pulled out and I was unable to get then to go back into where they are supposed to sit. The hooks also dig into the sides of the frog. While these look tempting, I would stay away from these and get the better quality brand version for a few dollars more.

So far I like what I see. I received these a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to try them out on the lake because the weather has been crazy hot and will probably be the same for the coming week. The lures are of nice quality and I really like the color schemes, very life-like. All of the lures have a shiny finish except for 1 which is a somewhat matte finish on it, and one of the lures has a silver blade on it to cause a little commotion in the water to entice your prey. I have no doubt these will catch some nice size bass. The lures range from 2" to 2 3/4" long, 3 out of the 5 in this set is about 2 1/4 in long. There's a small weight on the bottom of each of them to keep them upright while in the water instead of floating upside down as if was a dead frog.The rubber body material is pretty soft and feels like they'll crush fairly easily under the pressure of a fishes bite, to expose the hooks. Looks like the same hooks on each of the lures which has a double point on it. I will update when the weather calms down enough for me to go out. Otherwise, they seem like good quality lures.

Just a quick edit here (5/1/18) Ordered these frogs again. I do not want to be with out them. Also I have a bad habit of fishing heavy mat with my FROGs on 20 lb braided line, I should be using 40 or 50 that I do have, but I like the extra distance I get with the 20, so sometimes I will get hung up in the pads with a fish on and break my line, that is on me, guess I am going to just have to get use to the heavy braid. As far as my Frogs go, nothing has changed since my first review below. If you Frog fish, get these. You will love them.
Have you ever lost a $ 10.00 bait? Have you ever purchased the latest and greatest lure and it did not produce? I have, alot! I fish 3-5 times a week. Went out Sunday thought I would give these Frogs a toss. They work! Landed a 6 lb large mouth. I have a Strike King Frog I have been tossing for a month in the same lake, no hits.... Sunday I also tossed a Booyah Pad Crasher and hung it on a log, it's gone. I love these Frogs from RUNCL, they work and easy on the wallet. Come in a nice stop top plastic box. If I loose one of these Frogs it's no big deal. Got 5 for 13 bucks.
I will purchase again, just so I have back up. The only difference I could tell between these and the high buck frogs was 1) the price 2) the RUNCL frogs don't have a cool name like THE LUNKER BUSTING PAD HOPPER.

Have you ever lost a $ 10.00 bait? Have you ever purchased the latest and greatest lure and it did not produce? I have, alot! I fish 3-5 times a week. Went out Sunday thought I would give these Frogs a toss. They work! Landed a 6 lb large mouth. I have a Strike King Frog I have been tossing for a month in the same lake, no hits.... Sunday I also tossed a Booyah Pad Crasher and hung it on a log, it's gone. I love these Frogs from RUNCL, they work and easy on the wallet. Come in a nice stop top plastic box. If I loose one of these Frogs it's no big deal. Got 5 for 13 bucks.

I bought this tackle kit to keep with my camping gear (along with a travel rod). I love getting some fishing time in whenever we go camping but since it's usually a place I've never been, I don't know what the water conditions are & what's biting. This kit has a little bit of everything!
It contains big bass baits like spinnerbaits, a topwater frog, and senko type soft baits. There are also a good number of jigs and grubs in various sizes for panfish or crappie. The kit also contains a large assortment of terminal tackle bits like worm weights, beads, leader wire,etc.
It's amazing how many pieces fit into such a small tackle box, which is awesome for my camping trips since it will accommodate pretty much any lake or stream we come across.

Great price. Not very lifelike swimming. Not a single hit from fish in a spot that other frogs incite big blow-ups on. Not sure I'd recommend for catching fish. But very durable and a great way to learn frogging.
Nathan Waters : Good frogs
These are just as detailed as the pictures show. Haven't put them out in the lily pads yet, but they look promising. Not sure if it's mentioned in the description, but there's even a small weight in the soft body so these should sit back side down like a real frog as well.
Draco76123 : Happy on first inspection
So far I like what I see. I received these a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to try them out on the lake because the weather has been crazy hot and will probably be the same for the coming week. The lures are of nice quality and I really like the color schemes, very life-like. All of the lures have a shiny finish except for 1 which is a somewhat matte finish on it, and one of the lures has a silver blade on it to cause a little commotion in the water to entice your prey. I have no doubt these will catch some nice size bass. The lures range from 2" to 2 3/4" long, 3 out of the 5 in this set is about 2 1/4 in long. There's a small weight on the bottom of each of them to keep them upright while in the water instead of floating upside down as if was a dead frog.The rubber body material is pretty soft and feels like they'll crush fairly easily under the pressure of a fishes bite, to expose the hooks. Looks like the same hooks on each of the lures which has a double point on it. I will update when the weather calms down enough for me to go out. Otherwise, they seem like good quality lures.

The lures, rigs, hooks, jigs are all of good design and work great for fresh water fishing in all conditions of weather and water clarity. I'm very happy with the performance of all pieces and its a great value for all levels of outdoorsmen. A good deal for sure, you'd pay much more at a fishing or outdoor store.

Just received the frogs today but the box that holds the frogs in is cracked and pieces of the plastic broke off.
Sort of disappointed since it stated that it would've arrived on Saturday 13th, but after I ordered the date changed and did not receive it until today (Sunday 14th).
Overall, can't wait to try these out.

They seem to be good quality. I tried using them for a little while, but I didn’t have any weedless hooks.

Nice little variety tackle set. I ordered the 78 piece set and it provides everything pictured. A nice assortment of little weights, sturdy hooks, and false worms for a day fishing trip to the lake or river. Multiple color iptions on the false works for different lighting settings. love the little frog lure, especially excited to get out and try her out. Will update with video from out in the field fishing.
Ted Baker : Great for the price
These frogs are hard to beat for the price. They float well and catch bass, but not sure how durrable they wil be. If you want a different color belly, use scented markers. While the hooks are sharp, they are not as sturdy as on more expensive models, but I've landed bass to 6.25 lbs. and not bent them out. With these deals, I got 10 frogs for the price of 2 better brands. If you are fishing for hogs, use the sturdier brands, but these do work pretty well.

I bought these because I was tired of buying those $8 lunker frogs and losing them. These are a great alternative and much, much cheaper. I tied one on, went outside and caught 2 bass from the 3 test casts I made. These seem to hook up better than most frogs as well!
Carroll B : the rubber on these is very thin
I think I would have been better to buy more expensive frogs. The material in these felt about 1/3 the weight, (thickness) of a frog that I paid $10 for one frog. I have not used them yet for fishing so don't know how they will hold up especially catching a fish with teeth.

1 out if the 5 had a defective hook. Was bent so far down it would have missed every time.
These also take on a lot of water which defeat the purpose. You cant have to keep squeezing them after every cast. It’s a nuisance. (If you don’t squeeze them, they sink and don't float/pop)
The hollow body moves too easy. Just like taking on water i had to adjust the body on the hook frame frequently.

These are great for Large Mouth Bass. It is a multi use type of bait. Can be Texas rigged, Carolina, or even Drop Shot application. A great overall bait. Would highly recommend!

J. Hancock : They are good for the price.
So far not very impressed. I purchased the popper set. First cast and 2 pops it started to sink. I fish with frogs all the time and I know they all take on water after a few casts but as soon as these hit the water they start taking on water. I'm going to try and seal up some of the openings and the weight cavity and see if that helps. The tops of the frogs are nice but as with a lot of hollow body frogs the bottoms are all white with one exception. I will update if things improve but right now the only reason I'm giving 3 stars is the price, tops colors and hooks seem to be pretty good.

Sealing the weight in it's cavity and the hook opening worked. They float now and a company representative has contacted me to address the issue which has caused me to raise the rating to 4 stars. Too many companys now a days don't seem to care but these guys do.

Just got around to trying the replacements that were sent to me. Sorry to say the replacements sank after a couple of pops on first cast. Really wanted to like these frogs because of Runcl's customer service but it is what it is. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3 is the company contacted me and offered replacemnts. If you fill in the hook opening in the belly and seal the weight in with silicone, they will then float but it can be messy if you're not careful.

Sealing the weight in it's cavity and the hook opening worked. They float now and a company representative has contacted me to address the issue which has caused me to raise the rating to 4 stars. Too many companys now a days don't seem to care but these guys do.

Just got them the other day, haven’t had a chance to splash any yet, however, I’m very impressed by their lifelike appearance. Also, they have a very soft body, exposing the hooks very easily. Legs seem durable, but we all know how that goes, the Bass are ruthless on those appendages ????

Good stuff. They work great and they don't cost a ton so if they snap off its no big deal. Bass in Florida seem to love them. Good top water action. Squeeze water out every few casts and get some fish!
Lokkstar : Hooks were crooked and narrow.
The frogs are decent. 5 for 13 bucks isn’t bad at all. I like the fact that you get a variety of frogs as well as different belly colors of the frog. My only complaint is the hooks. Some of my frogs had hooks that were not fitted to the frog’s body. Some were too narrow while others were crooked. Some people might have to bend the hooks to straighten them out for better hook ratio.

The hooks are not aligned with the bodies and the are connected to a swivel thing that protrudes from the nose. $10 seems like a good deal till they arrive and you inspect and the smell hit you.
