What kind of line does it come with?

Answer: This reel comes with 15lb mono

Answer: 6 or 8 lb. monofilament. Strong enough to land and hold the ~ 5 lb. cat that I pictured in my review.

Does this have bait clicker

Answer: This reel does not have a clicker

Answer: Yes it does...I have two that I fish with....and we catch a lot of fish with it they are a real work horse for any angler.

Is this reel one with gears or ball bearings?

Answer: It has metal gears and bushings

Is it metal or plastic...i have the 202 but the housing cracked within a month and doesnt have a constant cast

Which is better 404 or 202?

Answer: The 202 is great for a child that wants to pan fish but not good for long term use...The 404 is a lot more durable and I have caught large bass and catfish in the 3-5 lb range also works great for speckled perch and pan fish

What is the difference between the 404kbk and the 404mbk?

Answer: one is 3.7in and the other 3.5 in (KBK). KBK weights 9.28 and the other weights 0.6 pounds. and i think there is a change in colors too, but other than that I don't see other main difference.

The reel is mostly made of plastic. It works well but durabilty might be a issue in the future.

First off this reel was not the one that was showed for sale. Totally different colors. I own a model 202 and only different is line size and handle. Not all that impressed with this .

I purchased the new Zebco 404 as a backup to an older 404 reel that occasionally functions erratically. The old reel was abused by a large catfish that pulled my whole rig underwater for a few minutes until I successfully retrieved rod and reel and fish.
