Questions about KUFA SPORTS FC7052 Retractable Aluminum Landing Net with Rubberized Mesh, 20 x 27"/41-65"/22"
Q:
Is this net big enough for king salmon and lingcod in the puget sound?
Answer: Def. big enough. I’ve landed a 35 and 30 pound catfish with it. Also a number of 20+. As others mention it can be hard to push in the buttons to extend/collapse sometimes but not a deal breaker. Have it ready when u start and it’s no problem. Or a lil lube helped mine. Either way it’s def sturdy and big enough for some lunkers. Is it perfect? No. Is it what’s advertised and worth buying? Yes( full disclosure, bought mine “open box” for like 35bux)
Answer: I use it for salmon on the boat
Answer: yes it is...but...I honestly can't recommend this net! Remember on old vacuum cleaners the ball bearing that you push in for the attachments?... well
Answer: Yes. My son kayak fishes and he says it's almost impossible to use in the kayak. The handle is difficult to extend. He never uses it and had to buy another net.
Answer: Yes. It is a good net, once we made some adjustments to the handle telescoping mechanism it works great.
Answer: I'm not sure....I bought it for my husband to bass fish with.
Q:
I’m looking for a good bass tournament bet will this be a good one? I need something that has a good size net and something my hooks want rip easily?
Answer: I love this this net, but I use it in a koi pond. As for bass fishing, the hooks will not rip it. It is however a little more rigid than a cloth or fiber net. It could possibly work very well for you. I was surprised by it when I got it, I’m not sure what I expected and questioned how well it would work, but it has turned out to be really great. I think for your needs, giving it a try would be worth it.
Answer: You won’t get any rips with this or hook line tangles only issue I find is it’s a heavy net but for a man should be fine
Answer: Used this net on the salmon river NY. It broke immediately trying to net a fish. Not sure how it would perform on a bass boat.
Answer: Look for something else!!!! Don't buy this piece of ****!!!
Q:
Would this work for lobstering and crabbing? Not too bouyant?
Answer: I do not think so.
Q:
Is the hoop removable from the pole/handle? In case standing up, or leaning to one side of boat isn’t an option when trying to land fish.
Answer: Yes the net hoop can be removed from the telescoping pole completely.
Answer: No it isn’t.
Q:
What is the handle diameter? I want to use this in my kayak of netting channel cats and bowfin but it needs to fit in my kayak mounted rod holder.
Answer: It doesn’t really work in my Yak rod holders. The shaft of the handle would fit fine. It’s the rubber piece on the handle that will mess u up. It has molded finger grooves that are raised that won’t let it slide in holder. Really nice net tho. Have landed a 35pound blue with it. And a 30 pound channel with it with no problems
Answer: Too heavy for kayaking fits in normal rod holder on boat
Answer: 4 3/4"
Q:
will these work on my product?
Answer: yes
Q:
Will this fit in a rolling duffle bag you can check on an airplane? What are the dimensions when fully collapsed?
Answer: No!!!! I Can't recommend buying this product. See my previous review that should be listed under the product. BAD DESIGN
Q:
Would this work for lobstering and crabbing? Not too bouyant?
Answer: I do not think so.
Q:
What is the warranty on the net? The extension mechanism on my net has somehow become stripped.
Answer: if it is a mfg. issue, amazon will take it back, no questions asked. sometimes lubrication of the sleeve and button helps.
Q:
Are you able to adjust the length of this to shorter?
Answer: Yes, the handle adjusts between 41-65 inches. Can lock in place anywhere in between. Handle does not go shorter than advertised.
Answer: Yes it adjusts. Not sure exact but fully extended is about double the length of the handle in the picture. It is collapsed for transport in the pic. It pulls out and that’s the shortest. Then it doubles when extended. Good net.
Answer: The handle retracts but if u want shorter get smaller size it is heavy
Q:
Would this work for large carp and catfish?
Answer: we use ours for catfish 15 lbs plus. the netting is very strong. weve had ours for 3 years now, with no problems. the extention pole works great and easy to hold onto.
Answer: If by large you mean 10-15 lbs, then in my opinion, yes.
Answer: I’ve landed a 35 ponder in it. Along with a number of 20+ pound cats. Works well
Answer: No- it broke on the first use.
Answer: Depends on the size
Product reviews of KUFA SPORTS FC7052 Retractable Aluminum Landing Net with Rubberized Mesh, 20 x 27"/41-65"/22"
Phyllis : Handle came off
The handle came off immediately after I opened the package.
Godkast : This net is huge!
This net is huge! Bought it for my dad's Steel Head and Salmon fishing and it certainly will work for that. We put a 30 lb toddler in it to check fit, and it was perfect. The construction quality is great, and I really like the rubber coated netting. The handle seems robust, and as long as you don't use too much leverage on a very heavy fish at full length, it should hold up well. The only complaint, but not quite enough to lose a star is that they did not add additional studs for locking it closed. I figure that is preferred for quick deployment, but makes storage a bit tedious as the handle wants to slide out when moved.
John L. Smith : the 2 ball bearing like contraptions are EXTREMELY difficult to operate
net is plenty big enough, however! the 2 ball bearing like contraptions are EXTREMELY difficult to operate!!!
when trying to extend the handle, pushing the spring loaded ball bearings is next to IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Had I been fishing
on my own, I would never have been able to get the handle in the locked position. Had it not been for my fishing
buddy and a pair of needle nose pliers, I never would have gotten the handle locked in the first extended position. Surely
the designer{s} could have come up with something better??? Since that fishing trip, I have decided to leave the handle
extended, even though it makes it a pain to carry
ART TCHERKASSOV : Waste of money
Very poor quality. Total disappointment; the net is out of commission after one fishing.
Brad : Broke on first fish
Unfortunately the frame (hoop) broke on our first fish. Very disappointed.
David Showman : Almost 8 foot
Nice net
Amazon Customer : extra length is worth it
great for big fluke
George B : Nice!!!!
It works great!!
Virginia D. : exactily what I wanted (almost)
The reason for the lower review is it came defective (2 in hole in top of net) I Bought on sale and the next week it was off sale and couldn't be reordered. I did get a credit but It was a gift for a friend and I wanted it to be right. He loves it even with the hole.
McF's : What a waste of money. Every component of this net failed.
After one day of use salmon/trout fishing the hoop is bent, the shaft is bent, the screws are coming out of the hoop mount, and the stitching on the net bag is coming out. If I could give this less than one star I'd be hammering that button faster than the sweatshop that hammered this out the door.
The worst part of this whole thing is trying to return this item for a refund.
Sherri : Works great!
Had a problem with the handle but was sent a replacement straight away - no problems! Works great!

Tom G. : Five Stars
Great heavy duty landing net. Handle locks in firm and secure.
RICH MMMM : Appears to have great potential
I have to say this net looks like it will work well. Unlike some reviewers here, I haven't yet tried the net with my cat, or loaned it to my dwarf neighbor for the odd games he and his full-size wife play on nights of the New Moon, much less used it for a big fish. I can suggest however that anyone who wants to make this net a 5-star instead of 4-star should take out the handle, get a 1/2" or larger drill bit, and carefully drill into the snap-button holes *only* far *enough* to make a depression. This will let your fingers easily press the buttons down so you can easily collapse the net. Then, while the handle is out, use a rat-tail file or a rounded file to file a "ramp". So that when you want to extend the handle and have the buttons snap into place, it just ramps them right in. If the designers of the net added this extra $3 of work (probably a half dollar overseas), it would be 5-star no problem. It doesn't need the mods, but yeah, at least do the ramp thing. Can carve the ramp with a knife if you need to. And maybe try netting your mate too.

Amazon Mom : Five Stars
A really nice net!
The Turpins : easy retractable handle
heavy duty design. strong netting. should have bought years ago. easy retractable handle. worth the money.
Amy Coley : Don’t Buy
Broke immediately
George B : Nice!!!!
It works great!!
Carolyn Dove : Perfect Retractable Aluminum Landing Net
The KUFA Sports FC7052 retractable aluminum landing net with rubberized mesh was exactly as stated in its advertisement. The net is sturdy even though it is so long. No fish are getting away from us now!
Joel : It seems like a solid net
It seems like a solid net. Not too hard to extend, definitely requires two hand operation. Very large see my photo fully extended on my queen size bed.
Ryan William Cloney : The telescopic grip is great for when you are fishing from a cliff or ...
I have done any serious fishing with it but overall I impressed. The telescopic grip is great for when you are fishing from a cliff or in my case trying to keep some distance from the local alligators ????. The only real complaint that I have is that the buttons are a little hard to depress.
Kevin-Chuong H Le : Good buy
I like
Ann Marie : Not worth it
This product broke the first time my husband used it. Disappointing since I thought I had ordered a quality product that I was excited to give as a gift.
