Was looking for some that was light and was easy to store. These knives will fit the bill.

Snowbound : Great little fillet knives, but...

Been filleting a lot of walleye lately and this little knife does an excellent job and holds an edge. Also put one of the three in the kitchen and recently used it to trim up a big brisket and separate the point and the flat.

4 out of 5 stars because the serrated scaler and line notch are simply annoyances and get in the way of an otherwise slick little fillet knife. Seriously, who scales fish anymore?

I got these for my boys for Christmas. They LOVE fishing. They haven't used them yet but did say they could have been a little sharper.

- Made in China
- Black part of handle feels like a composite. Rigid, with a slight texture. Colored part of handle is silicone-feeling grippy stuff
- Handle shape is very well done. A curve at both pinky and forefinger gives a good stability
- 3 holes in handle for lanyard
- Blade cover can be removed with just a thumb movement. Very handy if you have a floppy fish in front of you
- Cord cutting notch remains usable with cover on but won't quite let you gouge a finger

The blade on this is just about perfect for a shorter filet knife. Thin and flexible for allowing you to follow the line of the fish. Sharp and smooth to not mar the meat. A small pointy tip to get into small places. Serration on a bit, just in case.

Lightweight, well worth their space/weight requirements in hiking, camping, or prepping.

I took some stars away because all three knives are exactly the same. Looking at it closer now I guess I should have known that when I ordered it, but I was expecting three different knives. Why would I need three of the same knife?

Ladybuggggs : They are sharp all over and caution should be advised.

My son in law who thought these were regular kitchen knives was surprised to find out that he had blood dripping for his cuticle when he took it upon himself to use one of these to break down a few boxes. Not sure what makes him think of box cutters when he saw these. They are good looking fillet knives and its easy to see they are not utility knives lol.
They’re sharper than razor sharp (if such a class exists) and they cut flawlessly. The pictures are after a few uses with one of them, and the video shows how easily it comes off after a quick simple jerk style movement.
I’ve used them on a few things now including slicing bread and it was easy to see they are definitely worthy of being in a camping bag or similar kit. They fit well in my hand and that of my ‘small for her age’ teenage daughter’s hand. The blade is strong but still thin enough to be flexible enough to do its job as a filet style knife. The colors are also great because they are universal and can be for male or female.
The sheaths are strong and bendy ish, which is nice because if one were to fall while using the knives and accidentally gets stepped on, you know the chances of it being cracked or crush is minimal. Which brings me to a contradiction of my own statement... one of the covers did arrive broken. While it does not render the cover useless, it does render the entire knife unsafe. It still covers it nicely but It no longer “locks” on. That is a bummer and really makes me wish the stars ratings possibilities was an odd number so I can deduct one third rather than an unfair amount.
The one with the broken part I feel can not be stored anywhere but in a locked area (as they should be anyway) but these are extremely sharp, and we can not afford the risk of it getting in sticky tiny chubby little hands.
The sheath is also super thin in my opinion at the bottom of where it meets the handle when secured. Its thin in comparison to the experience I have with other knives of similar nature, which to be fair, is minimal. Typically in my little experience, they are a tad bit wider there, I assume to allow the user to put it on with ease rather than to have to slowly connect them to not miss and end up going on the outer side where you’re fingers hold it, missing the protective cover all together resulting in a gory not so fun unintended self inflicted knife accident.

Overall I do like these and I would say i am happy with them. I would recommend them. However I would suggest they not be someone’s gift nor as a starter set and definitely not for a child or teen. I would also advise to exercise caution on the items I listed above. Some may say that would be a deal breaker for them, but I do like the feel of hand grip in my palm and the super sharpness is a key decider for me.
The asking price on these I feel is fair as the quality is decent and there are many, many other uses for a knife set of this size. Its a YES from me.

I got these Black Anchor Fillet Knife 3-Pack | 6.5" Razor Sharp 3CR13 Stainless Steel Blade with Sheath in recently and they work great.

First you get 3 knives with sheaths and these are made out of stainless steal witch is great because they want rust. I also really like the sheaths these come with , there’s a thumb lock on them that you have to push upwards or the knife want come unsheathed, great safety feature.

They also have a line cutter that you can use even if the knife is sheathed witch I really like as well. These are very sharp but I wouldn’t say razor sharp however should be perfect for cutting up fish.

Overall a great knife set. Durable and sharp plus you get 3 of them.
