cory : Completely unreliable

Unreliable and parts constantly malfunction, replaced the controller 3 times and only one was warrantied, and it's bad again, replaced the auger motor, the fan, fire rod twice and I don't use the grill just a couple times a year, disappointed and a waste of 500 bucks, unreliable for long smokes because you have to babysit it the grill will not maintain good temp and will stop working or the controller will show error and you will have a cold grill, many expensive cuts of meat ruined because of this

Bought this grill/smoker early summer 2013. My bother-in-law was grilling some amazing food on his traeger grill and I was looking into buying one when I came across this Char-Griller Pellet Grill at Lowe's for a significantly less price than a traeger. It was bigger, sturdier, and cooked just the same. My summer grilling and smoking was the best I ever had. Still works great! I highly recommend this grill. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! The only downfall is finding pellets...

Amazon Customer : Very poor support behind product

Out of the box never worked well, put to the side till I had time to look into.... figured it out, controller not working properly, and the motor and fan were mis wired from factory. Absolutely no support of product even after they shipped product miswired, controller does not function properly assume from being miswired and grill is worthless for cooking the way it is, not even willing to discount parts due to their mistake. That’s another $80 to try to get it working...

Silver : Interesting customer service

Great grill, BUT parts takes forever, out of the last 12 months only could use eleven weeks waiting on replacement parts. customer service interesting. first replacement parts needed when opening box missing leg only took it eight months to arrive. so out $$$$ and waiting, waiting again waranty not worth paper printed on.

Felicia Colbert : Food is good but keep having to replace the fire rod

I bought this Grill almost 3 years ago after comparing with other brands. I ultimately got this grill because I wanted to be able to smoke and grill and it was cheaper than its main competitors.Since we have purchased it, we have had the fire rod go out multiple times. I just ordered my 4th one and over the summer we had to order a new fuse because it started tripping the outlet.

Overall had I gone with competitor I would have spent about the same over time with the parts I have had to replace. As much as I love this grill when it is working, next time I will go with the other main brand knowing that over time it will be saving me money.

I have also reached out to customer service with zero help.
