Greg : Ignition element went out withing a month. Would not recomend!!!!!! Do not buy, can't even buy parts on their website for this!

Ignition element went out with in a month, blown fuse open element. It will take 7 to 10 days to get the part once Chargriller has received a copy of my receipt and serial number in the mail. Can't buy parts for model 9040, only Chargriller themselves sell them and they are not shown on their website. If you read about blown fuses this is an issue with Chargriller. STAY AWAY!!! Spend the extra $50 and buy a Traeger or anything else that is serviceable and you can buy parts for.

Tracy Sherman : Don't waste your time with this grill

The grill worked great, until about 1 week after the warranty expired. Every time I tried to turn the grill on, the GFCI breaker would trip. Initially, customer service was great. After some troubleshooting, we were able to determine the fire rod needed to be replaced. They replaced it free of charge because of how close it was to the warranty expiring, but the part was on back order, so it was 3 months later before I ever got the part. That fire rod worked one time. Another was sent, but it didn't work at all. It didn't trip the breaker, but it never heated up. Yet another one was sent and it worked for maybe 5 months. After debating whether to waste money on a new fire rod or get rid of the grill, I decided I would give it one more try and ordered another fire rod. When I installed it, it doesn't trip the breaker, but it doesn't ignite the wood pellets. After more troubleshooting, they have now determined that it is the controller causing the problems with the fire rods. They won't refund my money for this last fire rod because it is already opened??? How are you supposed to install a part without opening it? They won't send me one that works unless I order a controller. I am done with this grill and I am done with Char-Griller period. As the headline says, don't waste your time with this product!

way better price then a treager, in my family we own 3 treagers and i saw this one at lowes and i bought it, it works better then a treager and is built better, and for the price its a great grill

Had to rewire it out of the box to get it to work. Consistently have to remove all the grates to get it to start smoking. Sometimes it starts billowing smoke, and scares my neighbors.

I have had mine for about 3 years, I always leave it outside year round under a factory cover. It does draw a decent power so make sure you have it on an out that has enough juice to go around. I absolutely love this thing set it and forget it nothing to worry about. Excellent quality I have had no issues at all. Just keep it clean.

Great grill, BUT parts takes forever, out of the last 12 months only could use eleven weeks waiting on replacement parts. customer service interesting. first replacement parts needed when opening box missing leg only took it eight months to arrive. so out $$$$ and waiting, waiting again waranty not worth paper printed on.
