Answer: Sorry this series does not offer a 4 ft. radius (8 ft. diameter) version. The smallest is a 6 ft. radius. NOTE: sizes listed are all in radius.

Answer: Hello Robert M. Mathematically a net is rated/measured by its vertical height. The vertical height is one half the diameter or what is known by in the world of circles as the radius. So saying all that A net with a 8 foot open diameter would be a 4 foot net. Other examples: a five foot net opens to a 10 foot diameter, an eight foot net would have a 16 foot diameter. Just know the size rate of a net is one half of the open diameter of the net so just double the size rated and that is your nets diameter...................Smiles................DougC

Purchased with the intent of harvesting pogies / menhaden. with repeated good throws the schools of dense fish in 10 - 6' of water easily avoided the sinking net. Might need bigger mesh for sure need more weight . Charter capt in New England.

Excellent Net. Durable build. Flawless assembly. The mesh is supple and flexible and opens smoothly. Heavy duty for large fish and resistant to tears. The weight is perfect for the application. Maybe a little heavy for beginners but this is not a toy. Sinks fast to catch fast fish and is not prone to wadding due to surface chop or light wind. Lots of braille lines (28 total) means good tight closure and fewer fish lost. Really great piece of work. I plan to use this net to catch a few hundred pounds of mullet off the beach in a couple weeks.
