Answer: Physically It fits, and the screws on right side line up perfect; HOWEVER, if you have the 30 inch with controls in the front, (Masterbuilt 20078715 Electric Digital Smoker Front Controller, 30-Inch) there are no holes or screws for mounting the left side of shelf to the smoker leaving you with a shelf that is only attached on one side (not good) You can use very short self tapping screws with washers, but be very careful and it will void your smoker warranty

Answer: The way it should work is you remove a couple existing screws/bolts and reusing those anchoring points for this. Directions are simple to follow, 10 minute job. Triple check that it works for your smoker, this said it fit my Masterbuilt but was missing one of the anchoring points so I couldn't use it.

Answer: Not without some modifications to the unit (and possibly the self too). It is set-up primarily for units with that have the back handle installed (it uses the predrilled screw holes from the handle). Also, the mes130b door would not allow this particular shelf to be mounted to the front of the smoker... The shelf is set-up to be mounted only to the left side of the smoker (while looking at the smoker). I would not recommend it for use with the mes130b. Hope this helps... Happy Smoking!

Decent product but the shelf does not want to seem to extend and lock into place very easily. Also, while it does work with Masterbuilt's cover, the cover it pretty hard to get on due to the increased width and once on the cover no longer extends all the way to the ground, leaving a bit of the smoker exposed.

I bought this for our 30" electric MasterBuilt smoker. It fit perfectly, all screw holes lined up and all needed hardware was included. I doubt that it took more than 20 minutes to install. It is a bit difficult to lock open, but not too bad. My assumption is that it will be easier with use. This has been a great addition to our smoker, as it added much needed space to place racks, spices, and spritzing bottles. I have no reservations whatsoever recommending this item, as it is another quality MasterBuilt product.

The description says it is specifically designed for the Masterbuilt 40 inch smoker. I found the mounting bracket a tick too short on the front where it is supposed to screw into the top hinge. I had to "make it work". Construction otherwise is very nice. The finish matches the smoker and also the Masterbuilt stand and cold smoker I also purchased. It does what it's supposed to- increase your work space. A five star product were it not for the mounting bracket issue.

This is great if you are doing a long smoke or need to cold smoke. My smoker is on legs, so I went to Harbor freight and bought some magnets to mount it to the smoker. Works great, basically snap it on the side when you need it.

I bought this item with the smoker. It did not fit, when I tried to install it. The screw holes for attaching to the smoker unit did not match up with the shelf and I couldn't attach it.
Focus : Not what was expected
Poor Design. Seems to have been hastily conceived. It does not really expand the space provided by the top of the smoker as its use will block the damper opening which is located on the top of the smoker. Though the metal guage of the shelf is sufficient, the way it attached to the smoker gives it the feeling of being flimsy.

Sure, I modded this to fit a different application. But it is a nice product that is very solid. The only problem is that, with a modification, it may not fit as well as in the proper application. But I felt it was not fair to reduce the rating for something that was my issue and not part of the original design. The metal is nice and thick and the paint good quality.

The side shelf fit my Digital Electric Masterbuilt Smoker just fine. I bought my smoker from Lowes so its model number is a bit different than other similar digital smokers (20077915). Anyway I took a chance and bought the side shelf from the Warehouse Deals sections and paid less than 5 dollars. As with all the other Masterbuilt items the machining was perfect and all the screws lined up just right. I am happy with my smoker, the stand that I got from amazon and as well as the smoker cover. Everything fits and looks good.

Installed this the day it came in, and it works perfectly. The shelf folds out of the way when not needed, but becomes very handy when smoking. It give you a sturdy place to put food/bottles/wood chips/seasoning while you use your smoker. Great add on!

This product is not worth the price. It is very cheaply built. After the first use, the pan holder fell apart. It was July 4 weekend when I planned to use the product. So after a FB post and some tweets, they contacted me and sent me a new deflector pan.
Subsequently, I used the product but with lots of frustration. The side rack holders kept falling off. Trying fixing when the smoker is hot! So, I tried to tighten the holding screws. They don't budge. So I am stuck.
There is some problem with heating. I can't get the thing to heat to 275 degrees!
So I called their support and left a message because the wait was much too long. Seems like lots of people are having problems! I left a message but so far, I have not received a callback. Looks like I am stuck with a lemon.
Look at other smokers before deciding. The 40 inch Masterbuilt Smoker I bought through Amazon is just not worth $500+.
