Answer: I'm not sure how successful milk or broth would be in this machine. The trays are flat metal with no raised edges like the round trays that have the motor/fan at the bottom. You can certainly buy silicone mats to put on the shelves, but even with the 10 trays I dont think it would hold enough milk that making your own powdered would be worth while. I'd stick with the round stacking dehydrators for turning liquid to powder, those have trays intended for that.

I have used this almost every day since I opened the box. It is very easy to use and super quiet compared to many dehydrators I have used. It only has Celsius and no Farenheit, so you will have to convert if you live in the US. Having 10 racks makes this a blessing because I can do so much at one time. Controls are simple enough even a small child could use this. The screens are sturdy and the mesh is small but you will still want to purchase silicone mesh mats if you plan to do small items or herbs. This has become my new favorite appliance in my house.

We were so excited to get this dehydrator after returning a broken-on-arrival Excalibur 3926TB-9 tray dehydrator.
It took over half an hour for my husband and me to remove the plastic film the front and bottom. Then we turned it on. It heats right up but it smells bad. Maybe it would out-gas over time, but the first time stink was horrible and that was on our open porch.
Anyway, after listening to it run for a few seconds, I thought "Wow, this is so quiet!"
I asked my husband, "Is the Fan working?"
"No."
After checking, we could see one of the fan blades is bent.
And the cabinet is twisted, so when you latch the door, it's off by over a 1/4".
The instruction book is a bit of a trick to decipher.
Oh, and this unit came with a spare fuse, but my husband couldn't find where it might go should the need arise.
Overall, poor quality and design, we won't replace this with another like it.

Ivy : Great dehydrator but has less room for taller items
Great dehydrator overall but unlike our other dehydrator the edges of the racks slide into these metal slots that are not very tall. This is fine if you are drying flat items but we were drying mushroom caps and essentially this meant that we had about 3/4” less space than we anticipated around the perimeter of each rack and it made the trays a lot harder to use. But it has good drying, we like the digital settings and great dehydrator overall.

The Smart Consumer : Do you like jerky?
This dehydrator has exceeded my expectations. Everything I have ran through it has came out excellent! Unit seems pretty powerful and gets things done pretty quick, in dehydration terms. I was able to do 6 lbs of jerky in one load, probably could have squeezed another pound in there. I think this is worth the money. Pretty quiet, does make some noise but my range hood over my stove is at least 10 times louder. Only negative that would be helpful is if there was an internal light inside to be able to check on the food inside. I think this item was easily worth the money. 5 stars from me!!!

I was surprised by the size and the durability of the dehydrator. I should have known by the "commercial". It works for my family since I grow most of our food. I am using it to prep for the winter. Most of my harvested vegetables are dehydrated. I set the time and temperature and forget about it. It is not for someone who would dehydrate a few items. I make sure that all of the racks are full when it is used. It is excellent for big families. I loved the book that came with it. It had great pictures with the cooking time and temperature for most common items. It is quiet but gives off some heat. It take up a lot of space on the counter. I would recommend this dehydrator for large families or small businesses. Dehydrate and healthier snacks.

The dehydrator came dented, therefore the fan wouldn't work. So heat was not circulating and meat wasnt getting done. Instruction maual was not helpful. It said you could adjust layers...there was no option for that.

I was very please with my purchase, this is a quality dehydrator at a great price, and is very easy to use. I have already recommended this dehydrator to a friend that has been wanting to purchase one.

Rattles and makes noise. Set some weight on top of it and that pretty much eliminated the vibration and noise

Easy to operate and lots of space. I looked all over the internet for a stainless steel unit of the inside casing. This has that. I do not use any heated aluminum around my food. This heats up instantly and has a very low setting at 95 degrees and all the way up to 194. It is a little noisy but not horrible. I had it outside until we had the fires and now it is too smoky. I will use it in my garage now. Overall I would recommend this as a very reliable dehydrator and a good value.

I received it in great condition. I am please with how well it works, and I love the fact that there are 10 trays. I can dry a lot at one time. Set the time and leave it alone. I contacted customer service, and they are great to work with.

I have already began dehydrating with this product and it works great. It is lighter than I expected for its size, which is a huge plus for me. The controls are very easy to use. The mesh on the trays is a perfect size for smaller fruits like your smaller berries.
If wanted to improve anything it would be to have the ability to switch the temperature from Celsius to Farenheit. If that option is available I have not found it. I also wish the guide was a little better. There are lots of fruits but no vegetables in it. And the meats are not something most people would dehydrate here - for example fish.
