While I like this reel, it does backlash easily and the line also slips betweenthe reel line roller and the body of the reel and wraps around the internal gears. I will not purchase another one.

A. Istomin : Total junk. Line slips off the reel and gets into the gears all the time.

This reel is a total junk. Line keeps getting into the gears even if just lays flat on a table. By the time I put it on a rod and fed the line through the rings, it slipped off the spook and got caught in the gears again, so I had to cut it. Totally unusable.

Prime Customer : String kept getting wedged in the gap between the spool and ends

I ordered 4 of these based on the Lew's name. It's no wonder Lew's left their name completely off the packaging. All 4 were returned due to the obvious design flaw. Even the picture above on the left side of the reel shows the defect. Too bad I did not pay close attention when I ordered. I could not give it zero stars or I would have.
