sam : Does not perform

Not at all what I expected out of Pflueger.
The drag is rough at best. Free-spool function will not drop micro jigs, even with 4lb line and the release button must be held down, so no 1-handed operation.
Even with the drag locked down, the reel struggles to pull against even 17" rainbows. If you hook into a truly big fish, this reel will let you down.
Save your money and get an Eagle Claw, or splurge on a Black Betty.
This reel doesn't live up to the name or the price.
