how does the weight coordinate with the numbered cull tag? it doesnt show a number on the picture with the weight.

Answer: If you look at the magnified picture, you can see the numbers in the plastic.

Will it let you cou t total fish you catch up tp 75?

Answer: Mine were all plastic. However the clips on the balls are more lightly constructed than the main clip. Also, the main clip doesn't look like the one I see here. There is no spring. You open and close the clip manually.

Has anyone used this for kayak fishing I'm wondering how water resistant this thing is?

Answer: No, I haven't, but I would presume being immersed in water would damage it. Keeping it in a sealed ZipLock bag would probably make it useable in a kayak.

Answer: These scales are not very waterproof. I am a weekend tournament bass fisherman and seem to go through one scale per season. It seems like once they get really wet they are fairly erratic and shut off before they allow the time needed to weigh a fish and put it in a "bin". Other than that it is the most user friendly scale I have ever used.

Does anyone know the accuracy of the 15lb vs 50lb versions of the Rapala scales? If the 50lb is just as accurate for small weights why get the 15lb?

Answer: 50 lb is more accurate for larger fish (ie those over 20 lbs like deep sea fishing) but not as accurate for smaller fish. 15 lb is more accurate for smaller fish (ie bass, bluegill, etc)

This is one of the best tourney scales I have had in a long time. Very cool that it is touch screen (no learning curve, just touch where you want to store things). The clip is very strong and actually to the point that it is hard to get the clip open because it has so much clamping power. You can weigh a fish, and store that fish weight into one of the 8 storing spots that corresponds to a culling ball that is also included. Total weight is also shown. The accuracy appears to be very good, the screen is backlit when you need it to be. All in all, this is a very good scale and perfect for keeping track of all your fish. For a pretty good price too, I have seen scales that cost more and dont do what this one does. Also comes with a storing bag and the hook clip if thats what you prefer. Temperature is also displayed on this thing, although I dont really need that.

Update 6/16: Be careful when lifting the fish out of the livewell. I have had a couple of clips break when the fish flops and there is the right amount of pressure on them as your taking it off. Clips will stay in the fishes mouth but also break easily. Dropping my star rating to a four because the clips break after use.

Great scale, very accurate and perfect size for your bag or boat. Couple complaints, first it takes a while to turn on while holding the button. Second, the clip is very hard to compress, most people are using this for bass, not 40 pound catfish. Finally, the clips shown on the cull tags are not what you will receive, mind had mini versions of the clip on the scale.

I like this scale a lot because it stores up to 8 weights on the screen and shows you the total weight. Comes with the cull tags which makes culling a breeze. The only feature that I wish it had was a “hold” for the weight. If you are in choppy water it makes it a little difficult because the weight keeps bouncing around and you have to lock in the weight manually. If not for that I would give it 5 stars. Honestly wish I had not waited so long to buy it. It’s worth the $50.

I bought this one specifically because of the clamp pictured. The clamp pictured allows to you to clamp the scale on the fish's mouth and release it one-handed. It arrived today with a completely different clamp.

Unit is solid. Very accurate also. Comes with 2 fish attaching implements. I fish bass catch and release so I use the no-harm clamp but there is a steel hook for toothy critters if needed..
Unit also comes with numbered cull floats for tournament use. The floats are numbered so you can reference your fish directly.
The scale will record up to 8 fish before you have to start replacing weights on screen. The operation of the scale is all touch screen and seems to work fine even with wet fingers. I really liked how they stitched a fabric instructions page into the soft storage bag. Makes it handy when you are first learning the functions. This unit is a standard with many professional bass fisherman and after using it for a while I can see why. It's small, lightweight and accurate. If you're after weight on your biggest bass, best 5 or total weight caught for the day then this is the unit you need. I really enjoyed mine so much I got one for my dad. Beware ,it only weighs up to 15 or so pounds and read the instructions before use as some functions are maybe a bit counterintuitive

From day one these scales have acted possessed. Sometimes they turn on. Sometimes they don't. Sometimes they display an accurate weight. Sometimes they don't display anything. Sometimes they show something totally out of the realm of possibility. I didn't know how to contact the company privately so I am writing this review hoping they offer a refund or replacement. We kept trying different things to get it to work and it just wouldn't. Unfortunately, with weather conditions we weren't able to get on the lake and use this until the return date had expired. It was ordered in March, 2021
