Answer: we use the scale at our deer lease. So we use a Y hook to hang the deer from the back legs for processing.

Could you use this item for weighing fish?

Answer: I have never weighed a fish on this scale. However I have weighed wild turkeys. If it is a big fish or a bucket of fish and you don't need a exact weight (for records or awards) I am sure you can get a good ballpark weight.

Answer: Not a 100% sure. I replaced my s hooks with legit climbing carabiners I didn’t trust the s hooks with my gambler. Great scale

Answer: No the gambrel is built or bought separately. The scale comes as pictured. ????

Answer: You would have to find a backet that has a balanced point of attachment. I use this scale for weighing the deer we hunt and a gramble.

Used it to weight my ultralight Gyroplane to ensure I met the requirements. The "S" hooks need to have protection to prevent coming loose, used 1" wide rubber bands to hold in place.

Made a sling and use this for weighing live grown rams, ewes and lambs. WORKS GREAT!!! Just remember to hang the sling on the hook and zero the scale, then hang the stock to weigh....We will be trying this with carcasses as well for freezer meat. Worth the money, well made, and accurate.

The scale seems to work alright, but the hooks definitely are not up to the task. Scale is rated for 440lbs, so I wanted to test it out. Around 200lbs the hook started unbending and the scale came falling down. Got a crack in the clear plastic cover now, but scale seems to still work. If you plan on weighing anything close to +200lbs I’d say look for some heavy duty hooks.

We purchased the sale to weigh our broilers in the spring and hogs in the fall. The first thing I had to do was take it apart and reconnect the springs, a week later I had to realign the springs and reset the weights. Total waste of money. Totally disappointed.

Nice scale, but I intend to connect with XTEK CLIMBING Carabiner Clip – CE Rated 25 kN 5600 LB – Heavy Duty, Rugged Terrain Approved Locking Carabiner Clips - Industrial Strength Twist Lock Carabiners from Amazon. The provided hooks could easily be bent further with a vice and a hammer, but the carabiner clips will work much better. Overall, a nice scale and a great price. Highly recommend.

When I received this product, it was broken and did not work. It is very cheap and not in a good way. The dial could not be calibrated to zero and the bottom bracket was not even attached to the internal spring so it couldn't measure any thing.
