Answer: This net when fully open is 16 feet

How long is the lanyard

Answer: The lanyard is at least 12 feet long. Possibly longer. When I measure I will update.

Is this 8’ radius? So 16’ when fully opened?! I see answers that say that it’s 16’ opened and one that says 8’

Answer: 8' radius and its diameter is 16', so it extends to 16' when completely opened.

Answer: The one I received was 8 ft. I assume they used a stock photo for this that happened to show 5 ft

Answer: Clear monofilament with white rope. Middle of the road quality. Opens well.

Bob Hall : Lead line coming apart

After minimal use the lead line is starting to break down and allow the inner cordage to pop out of the outer line section. This tends to pull the weights closer together and causes the brail lines to snag more often.

I like that the net was easy to throw and opened perfectly, but tore easily without much effort.

Used straight from the box. A tab bit lighter than my 6’. This is made of lighter mono which makes it easier to set up for next throw. 8’ opens to 16’ if pancaked. I net mullet in 6”-3’ water and its perfect for that!! Caught ahold of a rock. Felt like pulling would destroy it...it’s a net for fish, not earth. Walked out and unhooked it, no damage.
Be good to your gear. If net is hung, you either unhook it from oyster or rocks OR you pull like crazy and rip net. No one knowingly throws over rocks hopefully. Get wet and save your net.
Have not tried net in deep water.

This cast net was used. It was supposed to be new condition. The hardware was corroded, there was sand and sea grass in the net and container, and the smell made it most obvious. I am returning for sure.
