What diameter is the pole?

Answer: The clips are flexible and are designed to fit the light pole on your boat.

Answer: Aproximately 2.3 centimeters.

What size zip ties

Answer: I used the 10" ones because that's all I had but you can go smaller. Wrapped the pole with rubber tape first under the bottom clip because it starts to slide to the top after driving for a while

Answer: They are great for thin "rope" (maybe 5mm or smaller). For thick rope, you may want to try full size flag clips like these (http://www.amazon.com/Brass-Swivel-Eye-Snap-Hook/dp/B0009TILMG)

Answer: No. This particular flag/clip is designed to clip directly on a small light pole found attached to a boat.

Answer: We used these clips for a flag on our boat. However within one week one of the clips broke due to the wind. So I don't think I would recommend these clips.

Answer: Virtually any size - a zip tie connects an eyelet to the pole, then a spring-loaded clip connects to the eyelet and your flag.

Answer: They will adjust to fit any size pole because the mounting bracket is held on by zip ties. I was in the same situation, that is why I also ordered these.

Flag clips came loose after 3 weeks of use

Meh, it holds the flag. The design is odd though. You'd think the springs would give the flag some "flex or stretch room" but they do not even in the slightest. All the springs do is hold the mount clip in place. There is no "give" between flag and stern pole.
The tie wrap pole mounts do not stay in place even when mounted as instructed with 2 side tape. My boat barely reaches the 65mph limit if I try hard but even at 45-50 the flag ends up bunching(ie flag mounts move close together) because the mounts will move on the stern light pole..
The flag does however stay attached very well.

It arrived quickly. It was much heavier than the nylon printed flag I had. That one faded and frayed quickly. This looks like the materials will weather much better. Love that colors are stitched together and star is embroidered on. Wish you made one 18x27 or 20x30.

Ordered and installed in a snap, no issues. I mounted a small marine flag to my anchor light. Got up to cruising speed, around 30 MPH, looked back and my flag and light pole were GONE. The force of the wind snatched it out of it's socket and is now resting at the bottom of the Puget Sound.
Fun Fact: You can buy replacement anchor lights here on Amazon as well.

Slider : Just use zip-tie connectors

This product includes these little clips for the zip-tie lines and they just fling off and are easy to loose. You think they would give you a couple of extra because they are so small but nope just tow and you loose them forget about it. You can just attack the flag with zip lines and it works even better no metal spring clicking against the metal nav light or other pole.

Totally not worth it, the whole kit is a joke.

I'm going to have to give it 3, but only because of the zip-ties constantly coming off the tape. I subbed out wider rubber window strip and used slightly longer ties and it works fine. Stayed on through a storm with 85mph gusts without any issues.
