Answer: This is a flat net with poles that you scoop minnows.

Answer: Sorry, I'm not a good person to ask about this seine net. Purchased for my great grandsons and they aren't picking it up until tomorrow.

How many pounds would this net hold if it was gathered and tied just above the weights?

Can this be cut

Answer: I personally haven’t cut this, but I’ve read elsewhere that it messes with the integrity of the net. I personally wouldn’t, I ordered as close to the size I needed even though I needed to buy multiple for my purposes that way.

dannp : Inadequate sinker weight

The weights are not adequate to keep the net in the water. The whole thing just floats high in the water column. There are only two weights which appear to be maybe 2 ounces each, if that. So not sure how you can even use this thing

same as all their nets. floats as the net does not absorb water, scares the fish away as because the color is black. When using a light to attract the bait you can see it plan as day. I also have an 8 foot Frabill net that I purchased fro Walmart and it has the same problem. Next season I will be using the same nets that the charter boat captains are using as they have offered then to me. If you know any charter boat captains in your area ask them what works for them.
