what size and design hook should i use

Answer: I use a 4/0 worm hook or a 3/16 oz. darter jig head.

Answer: Black grape and Junebug work best in our merky Georgia waters.

Answer: I like the pumpkin chartreuse in the spring time, kiwi in the summer, and black with red glitter during the winter. The black with red glitter seems to do me well year round.

Answer: Yes I like to texas rig (Extra Wide Gap hook) these. When done this way the hook tip sits just inside the lure, so that it's less likely to hang up, but will still set hook.

Answer: From tip to tip ... just like the package, about 6 inches. I rip them in half (because the hook would be less likely to take a hit from a 6 inch) and use them twice.

I gave it 4 stars because it helped save my recent fishing trip. NOTHING was working. I was a man adrift with no hope and no plan.

After 8 hours of catching NOTHING...the FIRST cast I made with this lizard got hammered. The lizard went on a magical run after that. Everywhere I threw it I caught bass. It literally save my trip.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's not durable. The head rips on the first hit, then you have to start hooking it differently, or cutting rubber away to get to a spot that's not split. This could not be described as "durable" in any sense of the word...it's just not. However...I'd rather have an effective lure than a highly durable one that's ineffective.

I might wrap a small piece of duct tape around the head next time.

Great lure. I came home and bought 10 packs. You can find them on sale in the mid 2 dollar range if you look around.

I love love love Lizard Baits, and Zoom lizards are my go to. I catch small and largemouth bass, northern, walleye, and even slab-sized crappie on these. I like watermelon, pumpkin, and red colored Lizard baits.

My dad has a pond behind his house that has a decent number of bass in it and we've has awesome luck with this particular lure in the pumpkin and green pumpkin colors. We went thru a couple packs last summer and I bought him some more as a Christmas gift since he likes them so much. Give these a try, the bass really do seem to love them.

I just got these lizards yesterday. They shipped in great time! I love the action i haven't caught anything on them yet as I only had about an hour to fish them but they have great action i rigged the up with a pegged bullet weight texas rigged on a Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG offset worm hook.
