Forrest L. Wood of Flippin, Arkansas passed away today. He was 87. He and his wife Nina founded Ranger Boats, and changed the world of bass fishing in too many ways to count. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be released shortly.
Rest in Peace ~

Rest in peace Forrest.
The world lost a legend.
It amazes me with all of the different manufacturers, Rangers are still the benchmark that all other Bass boats are compared to.
Sad to hear that. Prayers to his family.
Forrest Woods qualified for the first Bassmaster Classic. He was an angler who saw a need and created a better boat to address that need. He was an angler first! Some people are great at marketing, some are great at building things, some are great at running a business. It's the ones that are anglers first that make the greatest contribution to the sport.
Thank you Forrest and rest in peace.
Sorry to read about his passing.
He lived a wonderful life and gave so much of himself to the fishing industry.
RIP Mr. Ranger.
Had the pleasure of meeting him 25 years ago.
R.I.P. Forrest
Rest In Peace Mr, Forrest L. Wood, the “Ranger Man” who’s vision constantly improved the sport of bass fishing and the definition of a bass boat.
Sad day..RIP Mr. F.L. Woods.
A man of vision and commitment
May he Rest In Peace

Forest Wood lived a full life at 87 and everyone should be celebrating his many life's accomplishments to the sport of bass fishing.
Tom
thank you for everything Forest
RIP Forrest.
Lived one heck of a life and revolutionized an industry. May he rest in peace.
Have shook his hand many times and it was a solid shake. Saw him for the last time at the Classic here in Tennessee and walked up to him and shook his hand and mentioned that he really confused me me now!!! He tilted his head and said whys that. Well....I said... you made a great boat in Ranger and I am finally able to get one even though it will be tin. BUT...then you helped create Vexus.....now I'm confused.
He smiled...and said ... son... do your research. So at almost seventy years of age I did some more.
Thank you Forest....may you rest in peace
RIP Forrest Wood. You were a true pioneer of our sport and a gentleman.
