Was talking to the wife last night about how much plastics and extra lures I have laying around (like she's interested). Anywho I just threw it out there that since the laundry room is unfinished and the studs are exposed on one side, that I should put up some peg board in the laundry room so I can hang all the baits up and keep them organized. I figured she would come at me with a "NO, I don't want all your fishing crap hanging around." To my surprise she said "Great as long as you get the bare studs covered I don't care what you do."
WINTER PROJECT !!! WOOT WOOT!
Our garage walls are slowly disappearing behind pegboards covered with fishing tackle, don't know how it's happening but it is
That's a victory for you!
I'll likely be doing the same once I buy my own house.
You've really made it, when you get your microwave and toaster oven for making baits.

How much did that cost?

No not really, she knows where all my gear is now... The pitbull is guarding it.
Almost done.
I'm actually thinking about putting a small work bench by the outlet and light switch.

Haha if yours is anything like mine then it's a terrible guard dog. Sleeps more than anything.
He's the same.

you forgot the mini fridge.
There is no way I could do that. I am like a child looking at his baseball cards. I get bored and reorganize my stuff just so I have an excuse to look at it. I already have too many things that never see the water because they are pretty. I did do that with my tools though and next thing you know I had a beer fridge a radio a woodshop and an ex wife. Kept the woodshop best upgrade ever.

That's on the other side of the wall under the bar.
d**n, now I have to tear out the wall in the laundry room exposing the studs and say to my wife...."hey honey...."
There's a raunchy joke in there somewhere, Sam.
Finished it before my wife changes her mind. It ain't fancy, but it will get the job done.
Congrats. My wife would probably approve of that
today if only to get my fishing gear out of the house.
See, I have a car port attached to a "shed" which is
already stuffed to the gills. So my fishing gear is inside
and in bins, or like the rods and reels, against walls or
on a circular rod holder.
Problem is, it drives her crazy. Before I try to convince
her I *need* a new reel, I *MUST* clean the fishing
clutter.
Looks great, boostr!
NIce setup man!
I need something like that in my bedroom lol.On 12/2/2014 at 10:22 AM, boostr said:Finished it before my wife changes her mind. It ain't fancy, but it will get the job done.
Thanks guys. My wife was just happy to put the iron on a shelf, and to have some open space. Just to note, the white cupboard to the left is the tackle workbench slash clean laundry holder... Had to compromise. I better not spend too much time down there, then she'll expect me to do the laundry...
Now to put a little tv on the wall...
Looks good I only have a 30ftx50ft basement for my stuff. And if I could find the walls for all the junk and woodworking tools. It would be great but does not look like its going to happen. But it does have 35ft of wall space with peg board and peg hooks full of jigs and tackle. Plus rod racks for most of my rods. Like My wife to see mine, as she will at times bring in extra when she finds something she thinks we need.
Now if that stinking Fridge has not gone out Thanksgiving, I would have has a new $2000 depth finder rather then a $2000. fridge.
I love buying lures when I find good deals, hate opening them for some reason, and I dump them in big boxes like I had in college that you can see through...I say they are "collectors items" and will be worth money when they are out of production, but really I am just a sucker for deals on lures, and like going through them a few times a year only to find a few gems which I didn't know were good at the time....
I just found a bunch of yo-zuri ss minnow wake baits, crystal vibe lipless cranks, Banana boats, live bait series, Norman Rat lure topwaters, and a bunch of other lures which are actually worth some money so it is worth it...Plus I like to collect, I try to only bring the lures I need for the day and leave the rest at home and right now I am liking the Savage lures which a local store has super cheap and they just look so nice....no need to open, I will never use one, but they killed it with the packaging for sure.

I'll probably be hanging jigs that don't fit in my tackle trays above the work bench /cupboard once I get them.
