Answer: I use this to seal my Colorstreet nail polish strips. It seals them tight. They stay fresh and don't dry up. I believe what you want to fo would work too.

Answer: It should stay sealed. I used this to close sample packets that held lotion and body wash, and they’ve stayed sealed with no leaks.

Answer: No. It does not get nearly hot enough to be a flat iron (for hair). Totally different voltages and temps.

For those who use this for color street, how long do you hold it down to successfully seal color street nails?

Answer: I’m not sure what is’color street’ however most of the plastic materials it takes a second and Mylar it is instant.

Answer: Not long. Maybe 2-3 seconds. Otherwise it'll burn through.

Answer: You can but the sealing service is small so you just have to keep working it down the top of the bag as you seal

I got this to reseal things like chips, crackers, etc. It works pretty well but if you keep it on the bag too long you could burn a hole through it. Sealing doesn't take long. I like it because we live in a camper several months a year and this insures the ants and moisture and humidity in the air all stay out of my chips!

I appreciate having this tool to seal my smaller bags. It works quite well when you're sealing a small item/seam. I have used it several times and it seems to work so far. I haven't had anything sealed longer than a couple of weeks so I don't know the durability of the seal, but am pleased at this time.

It works well for what I need it for. It’s compact and gets the job done. My complaints are that it takes too long to heat up (in my opinion) and that it doesn’t fit well in the case it came in unless you meticulously fix the cord. It would have been nice to use that as a storage case.

Works great but not suggested for very fine plastic. It will just melt the plastic. Works perfectly for chips and cereal. Tried it on a bag of marshmallows but it was to thin and it melted the plastic. Other than that it works. I’m happy with it.

It’s like a mini hair straighter, works ok but need to very be careful your fingers, they could be easily get burned while using it, I was burned my finger few times on the area it sealed for a snack bag, and also this is only working great on simple soft plastic bags, doesn’t work on the bags are made of many layers of the material like Potato chips bags.
