Are these bags made in the USA?

Answer: Our pre-cut bags are all made in the USA but the rolls are not. Unfortunately we do not have the machinery yet here in the States to roll the 50' lengths with the small 1" cores.

Answer: The rolls are 25 ft. Anything bigger will not fit or store in my foodsaver. The quality is as good as the name brand product and at a fraction of the cost.

Can you use a Cabelas style vaccume seeler ?

Answer: Yes, our bags work well with all vacuum sealers like Cabela's.

Answer: Yes. I have the 4800 series food saver and these work great. Although I don't store the rolls inside the food saver. Great bags for the price.

Can these bags be used in a chamber vacuum?

Answer: Yes they will work well TY

how heavy duty are these in comparison to normal ones?

Answer: They are a full 3.5mil thick. This is just as, if not more, heavy duty than most competitor rolls.

Can you but this in the microwave

Answer: Yes but make sure to puncture the bag first before warming or defrosting in the microwave.

Answer: Sure but you need to put whole in it so it doesn't explode

Can I boil these bags out of freezer to reheat frozen meat without drying it out??

Answer: Yes you can, I have had no problems with reheating my frozen leftovers by boiling right in the bags. I have noticed that after doing so, when I cut it open, the plastic itself seems to have a little bit of brittleness to it and I have been able to tear it open with a small start...this hasn't been an issue, but a difference I've noticed from the name brand.

Answer: You can boil or microwave. Just remember to pierce the bag before microwaving to prevent a mess.

I have a Foodsaver brand vacuum sealer, and despite what Foodsaver says, the bags made from this roll work fine. The only time I've had problems with the bags not sealing well was when I was packing something that was moist. The same problem occurs with Foodsaver's brand. The roll is too large to actually place in the machine, but they're easy enough to cut, so I gave the roll '5 stars' anyway.

These seem to be pretty good overall. We've had a few times we weren't able to get them to seal but for the most part they work well. We also use them to cook (boil in the bag) frozen product in and they are great for that. So, we will continue to use these and re-buy when needed.

Same great material as I have ordered before. Very durable etc. However, such big rolls do not fit the roller of my machine. So that was a pain in the behind. But other then that, they are good quality as expected and as I have ordered in the past. I just need to order smaller rolls.

Material is a little thinner than foodsavers but acceptable - I have had only two failures, one on trying to seal initially which may have been my fault cutting too close and another in the freezer. But otherwise good.

UPDATE- I have now found another bag in the freezer where seal has failed. Sausages - nothing sharp in there and nothing was cut close to seam. I feel you just have to take your chances with these and keep an eye on the food in the freezer. There are some generics I have found as good as foodsavers for a little less money. You need to experiment and frequently what you like you can't find again. So ongoing.

These are the first bags that I've ordered after purchasing my food sealer. They are GREAT. They work perfectly for me for storing fresh meats, leftovers..everything! They were a good bit less expensive than some other brands and I can say that for the typical "home sealer" who wants to purchase in bulk and store leftovers, these bags are perfect.

They don't seal, period. I have two Food Saver vacuums; my neighbor also has one. After a bushel of corn, boiled, blanched, cut off the cob...ready for sealing...not one of the bags would seal. If I put the corn in a trademark FoodSaver bag, of which I had a couple left, the corn sealed perfectly.Same with my neighbor's sealer. Guess I'm hitting the Walmart tomorrow for the originals; these are being returned.

These worked perfectly in my Food Saver 4400. The rolls themselves are very large making it impossible to shut the door on the Food Saver....but honestly it's a non issue for me as I process large amounts of food at one time then store the Food Saver back in its box. I had no issues at all using the cutter on the Food Saver for these. All of them sealed perfectly and were vacuumed perfectly. All of the selections that I processed are in my deep freezer... litteraly getting shifted around and non have come unsealed or punctured. These bags seem a little less stiff than the name brand ones but at a fraction of the price I will be surely sticking with these.

I've bought cheaper (though not by much) rolls of vacuum sealing bags. These bags are worth the extra cost. Much thicker than the bags I used previously, so I imagine they are better at preserving frozen items.

BUT. If you use such bags to cook sous vide, these bags are certainly worth the extra pennies per use.

Let's face it: the debagging of sous vide meat is a disgusting process, and the cheaper bags won't release the meat gunk stuck to all sides no matter how long you rinse them. These bags rinse out pristinely with minimal effort. So no rotting meat smell emanating from your trash can two days after throwing out a spent bag.

An economical alternative to FoodSaver bags. Same great performance at a fraction of the price.

One downside is that it won't fit into the built in storage of some FoodSaver vacuum units. After a few sealing sessions however, it is small enough to fit nicely. For the price, it's not an issue for us.

I have just used this product to make a vacuum bag this week and it seems to work just fine. I stored some provolone cheese that I use to make pizza and in the past have always had to carve off some mold. I used these bags this week and not a bit of mold. Best part is the price! Much lower than Foodsaver bags. I'll be buying these again.
