Mode One's MO-FL-007 is designed to be a 9.5" fishing fillet knife. The knife's full tang provides great rigidity and stability. The full tang is not seen in many fillet knives but is essential for the strength and balance of the knife. The blade's thickness is thicker at the handle and tapers to thinner at the tip. This makes the flex of the blade uniform while maintaining strength throughout. There is jimping along the top side of the tang that provides grip in slippery conditions.

The handle is ergonomically designed to be comfortable in your hand however you may hold the knife. The G10 handle scales are very durable, tough, and can put up with a lot of abuse and are also very easy to clean. The knife's weight is shifted toward the butt of the handle which allows for better control over the tip of the blade and causes less fatigue in the hand. There is a lanyard hole located at the end of the handle for convenience and personal preference.

The MO-FL-007 comes with a nylon sheath.
