Answer: I have the 90mm MF Bluegill Choppo which calculates to be 3.54 inches. The 120mm Choppo should calculate to be 4.72 inches.

hi is there going to be a saltwater version of the Berkley Choppo, and if so when is it coming out ?

Answer: Rinse well and dry after. I like using fresh water lures for sw fishing. Prefer the hooks.

Why is this advertised at 4.99 and then when you put it in the cart the price doubles?

is the length measured from nose to the tail swivel where the hook drops? Or where the tail ends?

Hi is there a saltwater version of the Berkley® Choppo?

Answer: Not really, it works fine in saltwater. May want to replace the hooks with a saltwater hooks and make sure to rinse the bait well with fresh water after fishing.

Is the maverick mostly black with a orange nose or is it the lighter colorba as shown in the thimbnail?

Answer: All black with a light shot of orange at the nose/ mouth area. Catches a lot of fish !

Okay, it's not the bait for every fishing trip. No top water lure catches fish every day. However, this is a functional, durable and less expensive option. It gives the plop sound, casts a long distance, and runs true on retrieve. Not much more you could ask. Now it's up to the fish - LOL!

This thing straight up catches fish. Whether you roll it steady or pull-and-pause like a traditional prop bait, the fish tear this thing up. Definitely a confidence bait for me.

I've bought this a few weeks ago, and it is a dynamite. Good quality, product came as expected, and I have already caught some largemouth basses with it. I don't have the product that is sold by the competitor (appears to be a top one as well), but had bought some cheaper ones before, and that was a waste of money. This is a keeper! I cannot advise anybody or predict if it will work for you, but I will say this: I have fun fishing with it, and have bought a black version today. I am satisfied and that is why I gave 5 stars. I am not a professional bass fisherman, so take it with a grain of salt.

I was excited to get this when I seen reviews on YouTube, went out to give it a try once I got it and It got stuck on some weeds and lost it on my second cast. Bummed out but I’d like to get another one. other than that it seem to work great well-made and great packaging

When the large mouth bass are biting, this will haul them in. I’ve caught so many fish with this lure, the paint is starting to come off its “rib” area. Slow or fast retrieve, doesn’t matter. Work it like a jitterbug, start and stop, whatever you can think of to mimic a tasty bass treat, this will haul them in. I bought 2 in case I lose one. Haven’t lost it and thought about giving one to a friend to try.

Going to explore other colors for other lighting options.

I have caught bass (big ones and small ones), blue gill, perch, and a blue cat with this. The blue cat surprised me the most. When one type of bait slows down, I pull this out and get the bites back up. I have noticed that bass will hit but miss the bait sometimes. If I just let the bait sit for a few seconds, they will take another stab at it and usually get hooked.

There are other brands of this type of top water lure but I’m not going to spend my hard earned money on them. Staying with Berkley!!

My 13 year old spent his own money for this because he read every single review about it versus whopper plopper. On its very first use, after about 3 casts the thing separated right at its joint and back half fell off in the water. So weird, as that has never happened before with any lures and believe me we use A LOT here with 3 avid fisherman in our house. So, I don't know how to review this really . This one, was junk

Size I wanted. Get the 90 size. 120 was pretty big. Very strong tail, not like some cheap brands. Very much What I wanted. But arrived a day later than first 2 whopper ploppers, even know they the same brand. Just different size. Came earlier than the original set date tho, so I can't really complain.

Bought one of these to complement my extensive set of Whopper Ploppers. The Choppo looks good, casts very well, runs true, generates adequate turbulence/noise behind itself on retrieve, and holds striking fish well. Bottom line: so far it works just fine. I recommend this product.

Bought both the Whopper and the Choppo to compare them. All in all the Whopper may have more durable compnents but I highly highly doubt any of that is a concern for normal day to day. Both caught equal amounts of fish.

You have to have this. I bought 2 Wopper Ploppers also and they’ve been in the water once. The Choppo makes this sound that in the quiet I thought it would bother other boaters. Loud. But not too loud to spook any fish. I’ve literally just set up 3 rods with different colors and sizes for times of day and what not. Hell I’ll do a forth if they make a smaller one. First cast largemouth. 3rd another. Went on for whole day like this. Ended up with over 11. But did lose a few. Going to change out the trebles. I heard from others with the same experiences to change em out and it makes better hook sets. You gotta try em. You won’t be disappointed.

M31 Nights : I caught so many where Whopper Flopper failed miserably.

I am not sure as to why but the MF Bluegill 90 version has worked wonderfully. The first one I got from Bass Pro Shop, and after I lost that and unable to retrieve it, I got one from Amazon and as of yesterday I got that stuck on a tree, and have an expedition to retrieve it once the weather clears and why I am here looking to buy another.

Anyhow, mine was scratched up, hit rocks, trees, grass, and used it on 20 lb string. I probably caught many dozens of bass with it. The only thing that it needed was to replace the hooks as it worn out but that is expected after heavy use.

This thing sounds amazing and it gets attention. Only townside is of you catch a little bit of grass you might have to pull it out of the small gap between the body and spinner. But it sure is fun to reel in.

These choppos are freakin awesome! I'm catching all sorts of personal bests with these things. Color doesn't seem to matter too much. They'll bite on all of them. They have a hard plastic tail which makes a way more pronounced plopping sound compared to the Whopper plopper. One isn't better than the other, they are just used in different scenarios. This one is better for when it's hot and the fish want to bite something that's more active and making a louder noise.

Product was actually delivered one day ahead of time. I have only used twice for a total of about 25 minutes. It spits up a storm and you can hear it from quite a distance. Only managed to catch one bass, but nothing else was working at that time. I would recommend this lure to anyone that likes topwater bass fishing.
