Answer: Probably not, it's not a very good sealer. It cuts decent but when it's time to seal it doesn't seal all the way and sometimes it leaves gaps in the line where you have sealed whatever you are trying to close.

Have used this several times now on a variety of bags. It obviously works better on thinner bags, seal is not always a tight seal, think I think it might be user error.

This thing doesn't work. Charged it up, waited a few minutes to let it get hot, tried sealing a basic chip bag and it wouldn't. Not sure if I got a defective one or not, but I really wish I could return this - I'm two days past the return window. Can't believe I blew $19 dollars on a piece of junk. Hoping the seller contacts me if reading this...will update the review if he/she does.
