This is my first vacuum sealer, so I don't have anything else to compare it to.
It works fine, at least for all the modes I've been able to try. I don't have any vac-seal containers, so I can't try that function. Other reviewers have said it's not the best quality, but it doesn't feel overly cheap, at least to me.
It comes with a bunch of small bags, a spare gasket, and has a built-in bag roll cutter, which is handy.
The one thing I'm taking a star off for is the instructions. They're terrible. I had to go watch videos on y o u tube to learn how to operate it. And I still don't know how all of it works.

While I am overall satisfied with this vacuum sealer, I think the price might be a little high for a not-so-well-known brand of sealer. Don't get me wrong it does all it's supposed to do and does it fairly well, it's just that you can find similar products that perform as well for less cost.

The machine is of decent quality - I found the buttons do feel a little cheap but it definitely can be excused. What you're really looking for is how well it seals bags, and what kinds of settings it has.

Well, it does seal bags really well, and does an excellent job of removing the air from the bags. It has a setting you can chose as well for moist or soft items so that the vacuum doesn't crush them.

The unit is fairly small and can be stored in a small cupboard, which is great for small kitchens.

Overall, I think this is a decent unit but maybe a little overpriced. You don't really need to pay more than $60 for a no-name sealer, and I think if this one were priced a little lower I could recommend it.

I've had several brands of vacuum sealers over the years. They all work on the same principle of sucking the air out of a heat seal bag, and then sealing the opening. You then run a cutter over the excess and bingo you are ready to label, stack and freeze anything from meat, vegetables, baked goods (there's a trick to that - freeze the baked item first, then seal it in the bag so the vacuum doesn't squish it into a mushy pancake), and things you might have had to can in the past.

This particular brand of vacuum heat sealer works well, and especially for the reduced price! If you have ever wished you had one, or if you didn't know much about how great they are for keeping all your food from getting freezer burn, and being able to fit wayyy more food in your freezer than with other freezer bags or containers, now is the time to try this.

RMD : probably having too much fun with it

this is my first vacuum sealer - i've always wanted one just couldn't justify the expense. but then i decided i wanted to try sous vide and it became a bit more of a necessity. because it's my first - i have nothing to compare it to - i can just say, so far really good. it felt a little zoolanderish 'the files are in the computer' at first with the 'insert the bag into the card slot' instruction, then i wised up and realized they meant what is titled as "vacuum bag clip' on the illustration. after that it's been easy breezy. set the bag in the clips - press the lid down till it clicks and hit the appropriate button. i pulled all of the veggies out of the fridge and created bags of cooking sized portions - put seasoned steaks in so i can do sous vide later while they soak up all the flavor. i might have gone overboard but it's just so easy. i don't foresee myself using the canning feature - but it's nice to know i have the option. it also came with 10 small bags which was really nice for starting. i suspect my grocery bill will really appreciate the break.
