This is a powerful, easy to use vacuum sealer that quickly produces effective and reliable vacuum seals. It has a compact design, and is easy to store away. This vacuum sealer saves us tons of money by prolonging the shelf life of foods. The kit includes sealer bags to get you started. It has a solid construction that will last a long time. This is a very good vacuum sealer that works exactly as described.

Hart : High-end performance for a reasonable price
Over the years, we've used a number of vacuum sealers, from Food Saver to no name, and never regretted paying a little more. A couple of decades ago, I felt that buying a no-name version would end in disappointment. This may have been true (I have no way to certify this from back then), but I'm pretty darn happy to have this in the house.
For decades we've need dehydrating and, in the last five years, freeze-drying (look up HarverRight Freeze Dryer) and have needed the means to seal up the finished products. Vacuum sealing is still the best way to do this due to the light weight of the plastic bags, their ability to stay sealed even when handled, and they don't break if dropped. There are plenty of external accessories that work great for vacuum sealing Mason jars, but the glass is heavy and too easy to break.
Using it is very simple:
► Place the open end of a bag into the area where the vacuum is, close the lid and make sure to press down on both the left and right sides. It will click once closed properly.
► Then press the Vacuum Seal button. The rest is automated. As soon as it's removed as much air as it can, it turns off the pump and seals the bag.
► If for some reason you want to leave some air in the bag, for instance, when sealing things with sharp corners like dehydrated apples with the skin on, all it takes is to press "Stop" when you want, and it then seals at that point.
► The Seal button is also used for sealing off a stretch of material from a roll which allows making any length of bag that's needed. Once the cut end is sealed, the bag can be used as normal, and when the opposite end is sealed off during the vacuum process.
► The seal it makes is wide and without any deformities, nice and clean.
The biggest issue with vacuum sealers, even the big brand name version, is the level of vacuum they can achieve. I have a standard test, take an empty pop can place it in a bag, and then see if the sealer can crush the can as it removes the air. I was amazed at how easily this sealer accomplished this.
There is a built-in connection (hose is included, larger end for the sealer and standard end for accessories) for connecting to accessories such as the Mason jar sealer caps. It's located in the space you place the bag. Others have this as a separate port at the top, but in reality, it doesn't matter where it's located.
Unlike many other models, this one comes with a cutter to chop off lengths of plastic from a role. It can be popped off and used on a flat surface. This makes cutting roll bags a lot easier. Most sealers in this price range don't have any kind of cutter.

This is a nice compact vacuum sealer. It did a good job at getting a nice, tight seal so my meat doesn't float during cooks. The seal itself is good and does not fail when heated in water for sous vide for hours

This machine has done well through 2 weeks of use. It seals well, handles a number of different branded bags, draws air at a fast speed and does it all, relatively quietly.
The design is compact and pretty well thought out, in terms of ease of use. The bag cutting mechanism works but is a bit odd and the overall build quality is a little bit concerning for the long term but it has held up through 2 weeks and has not faltered at all as of yet.
The hose suctioning feature was a bit more tricky to use but all in all, it performed alright and would certainly carry out it's intended job function.
Aside from durability concerns, I feel this is a worthwhile consideration at it's coupon aided price of $48. Above that, I would weigh it against other options to be sure of what I wanted versus what I am spending but on it's own, I can recommend this.

Works ok and i still use it .. but definitely gonna but one with more power !! This is my first so i wasn’t to sure what to buy .. it’s all good though .. i learned a lesson.
